It shouldnt anyway.

Sponsors generally dedicate their money at the beginning of a deal. Sponsors arent going to lose money on games not being played, theyll lose it via their products not being bought
Those sponsors you talk of are going to take a monumental hit to their income streams throughout this period.

Correct, but theyll get that regardless of whether the clubs play or not.

Its the stark reality of it all.

Question for you as a business owner though. Is is better to close up shop for a month and not have to pay staff, or keep open with significantly less revenue coming in ??
If we could be guaranteed that a month hard lock down would fix it and then after we can go back to “normal” that would be ideal scenario.

Currently closing all events over 500 is a disaster for us and this could go on for months.
As to your question, any income for me is better than none.
We don’t have any full time staff so that’s not too much of an issue.

The issue with the full lockdown at this time is the flu season hasnt hit yet.

I'd say we get to June and we get a lockdown, but by then we will have had 3 months of this hybrid stuff

Given we completely failed to isolate the virus initially (because the government didn't listen to obvious advice), there are basically two options now

1) Lock down everything for months, at least six months if not longer, to stop people from dying. This will cause massive economic damage

2) Don't lock down everything, leading to mass casualties. However, the economic damage will be limited

Pick one

I have no idea what youre trying to say, as usual
Do you honestly believe it time for petty insults,
I will try again to answer the question,
We should learn the lesson from the Spanish Flu Epidemic, Not one Government look beyond the initial crisis they all worked in the now,
This lead as some experts believed into the great depression.
So if we remember the lesson learnt, we look at all issues Health, Essential Services, Financial, Resources and our Future.
Knowing that Concentrating on 1 issue today will cause a bigger issue tomorrow,

By the way the Drugs we need to combat this virus will not come cheap add to that the Swine and Bird flu vaccination required this year. Just hope we can keep manufacturing it in Australia and do not have to rely on the outside world to survive. Just hope we have a financial system in place to help us win thru the next health issue.

And this is where is is absolutely a balance and health won’t/can’t always win out.
I would not want to be the prime minister right now.
If you take the less casualties approach I can guarantee that will come with a whole range of other health implications.

Another game, looks like another fast start.

Imperative we get off to a flyer

Club is allowed one official in, probably a rule made up just for him.
Gillon McLachlan: "As of Saturday, March 14, AFL and AFLW matches will now only host players, coaches, essential club officials, umpires, AFL match day officials, essential broadcast teams, media and required venue staff with no supporters permitted to attend".

I’m comfortable with where it’s at. The higher risk segments should lock themselves fully anyway and current measures seem adequate to me. The prediction is that a large % will get it anyway, so it seems pointless to order everyone to stay at home until we see that transmission levels are high outside of the direct o/s contact cases that remain a huge portion of the total.

Clearly sides are now allowed to send 1 forward scout.

Or just Clarko.

I believe someone told you guys to have Crows games earlier in eastern time zone.

Flip on the Essendon game and hear NY is watching.

:)
