You can't make this sh*t up

Caro: "This hub for Collingwood and Geelong will be more onerous than what West Coast & Fremantle have had to deal with" (doesn't even mention Adelaide or Port)

I’m not sure how they will cope tbh, maybe reward them with more games in Vic next season? Only fair

So the AFL would prefer us to go an play in Victoria in front of no crowds, instead of playing in SA in front of 30k? After having been on the road for 6 weeks? Cool, makes perfect sense!
It's not even from a crowd POV, they're the most infected state in the country with cases increasing and they think a team would be happy to bring their players into that? If they weren't brain dead morons only interest in protecting their own turf they'd of sent those Melbourne teams out to hubs already. Too busy wanking themselves off about Melbourne being the home of football to consider players health though.

I don’t need another reason not to follow the AVFL anymore but this would add to it. If both clubs and supporters continue to feed from this s**t bag of a comp then things will continue as they are.
Anyway, got tickets to the footy Saturday so I’m happy.

I'm always up for a bit of outrage, but isn't the issue that we won't let clubs into SA? After the 2 Qld and WA teams, there's no one left for us to play that the Premier Grant Stephens will let across the borders.

We all know it but this pandemic has really magnified the corruption and lack of fairness within the AFL. I feel utterly dirty to have any involvement in it. It makes me feel complicit by giving my money to subscribe to Kayo, pay my membership of the Crows etc. It’s kind of sickening but I love the game and don’t have another outlet to replace it.
It’s a conundrum.

I went the full refund, I am already a "Patron Saint" (member) of my local club, support your local club. The amount of effort they put it is amazing - all volunteers helping the kids and womens teams, bloody good stuff.

I posted a few pages back that the VFL could serve up any old crap and some people will still lap it up. Are we seriously going to Melbourne to play in round 7 after being in an interstate hub and Victoria is the cesspool of Australia.

Seriously, and no one bats an eyelid about this.

heck Off. Pull your money out people, its gone beyond a joke.

That would blatantly be unfair for Victorian teams, much easier to move the two SA teams from the Qld hub to one in Victoria. That keeps the competition on a level playing field.
WTF are we not on the front foot arguing our case, instead we fold to the infected Dan Province and their puppet sporting organisation, I actually doubt I will see the year out, the only thing that has me hanging in is to see some of our kids, if that changes it’s TTFN for me

No, we will let them in as long as they have 2 weeks quarantine. Which I think is the same as WA

So clearly I will be wrong (because, well it is the AFL after all), but as we have only ACTUALLY played 1 home game..and pick up 1 "home" game in Qld, does that mean with the announcement today we will play 6 of our last 10 games in Adelaide?

So Victorian teams get more home games and us and Port are forced to travel again? I'd tell the AFL to GAGF.

I want the Crows to say no we won't go to Covidourne

Yes exactly. One would hope with this fixture that SA teams basically don’t have to travel for the rest of the season after round 7 once our borders are open to the eastern states.

I would hope more like 7 or 8 to makeup for home games away from Adelaide. I also thought they may have moved our game against Freo next week to Adelaide, but haven’t heard anything since last week on that.

In a way I hope it all bites the AFL in the ass.

We know sooner or later that continuing to play games in CoVic is going to end up being a disaster.

As usual it's all about Victoria and it looks like it doesn't matter how disease ridden CoVic becomes they'll continue playing there and just hope for the best.

When it all eventually falls over the AFL will only have themselves to blame.

SA Gov probably won't let the infested into the state without 14 day quarantine. That would rule us out of hosting vic sides, leaving only GWS to play.

I'll say it again, Tassie, Kardinia and country Vic should only be for Victorian teams. Interstaters play only at finals venues.

Richmond played down in tassie twice against North Melbourne in consecutive seasons

Both North and Tas Gov put a stop to it because there were too many Richmond supporters down there - North didn't feel like it was a home game and because so many locals went to the game as Tiger fans the Govt didn't want them because it stopped people travelling to Tassie

This is the kind of shit we are up against

I'm starting to think the money I waste on unused AO, AFLW and gold upgrades would be better left in the bank or being a member and supporting the f&b outlet at North Adelaide. Remove myself financially from the AFL altogether. Except for paying for Fox Sports which includes the footy channel.
