Why would we want to win and risk losing pick 1 over north
We'll need to win 3 to avoid bottom most likely, we're 2 games and a ton of percentage away. We can beat North (theoretically) and still comfortably finish bottom by 4 points and some change.

It’s hard to see a better opportunity for a win and equally hard to see it creating momentum for us or leading to string of wins.

I think the players need a win to get some reward for effort. Nicks needs a win and I hope we do.

two wins I think should be the aim. We will still finish bottom, but avoids the tag of being the worst team in AFL history. Also the younger players need a taste of a winning culture. If you accept a winless season, you basically accept being the Blues / Dees camp..

You need to do it 3+ years in a row to be in the Blues/Dees camp.

If only a win put us in danger of that...
The game against North is worth a two gamer outcome though. We beat them we let them, Sydney and others get within a game to us. They beat us, it puts them a further game away from us.

It's really the GWS game I'd like us to go all out for to win.

I think we can jag a couple and North are in tank mode. It's not in our club to actively want to lose, so we are in danger of coming up against teams who do.

A 5 goal win (say 64-34) increases our percentage by 7% and reduces theirs by 3%. We win two games our % will increase by quite a bit.

Remember our % is currently 55 which means when we play teams that have to double our score for it to remain at that level. Anything less and our % will improve - like Monday we were 53% before the game but now 55% and yet we lost by 4 goals.

Looks like it.

I could only see is beating Sydney or North - at home. Obviously Sydney is off the board.
There will be the odd day late on that all the kids click in one game and we play a blinder. If that's against a team like North or Hawthorn we will win.

I reckon we'll catch a team napping and grab an unexpected win. Maybe against someone like Essendon.

Essendon will run us off our legs the way some of our blokes are tonguing it after minimal effort.

Not if they play similar to last weekend. Heppell, Shiel and Stringer also always carve us up and are missing. They’re vulnerable. Also saw a stat that they have a horrible record against the 18th ranked teams over the last few years.

We are 19th or 20th ranked
