This all happened in the third quarter.


For the rest of the game the Doggies pumped it into the firward line and couldn't get a mark in there or shot on goal. Their best forward is Bruce.

Not King with Paddy and Rowan, as was the case against the Saints.

Last night was a great win against superb opposition. You guys held firm in siege like conditions with future Premiersip and Brownlow winner Zac Butters standing tall.

Yes there were contributions from others. But Zac Butters did not melt in the heat of battle.

It was a win for the ages. Much respect to the best Football Club in Australia for such a stellar effort.

Nobody here likes your team. In many cases, like me, it’s positive hatred. Serious, historical, deeply ingrained hatred.

I couldn’t be in a relationship with a Port supporter. I’ve tried to manage friendships with Port fans - never works.

My kid is a very talented junior - As a family we’d be devastated if he was ever drafted by Port.

On any given week end it probably means more to us to see a Port loss than a Crows win. In your worst days I desperately wanted to see both the Power and the Magpies liquidated with licenses revoked.

Are you getting my drift here? So no, I won’t tell you nice things about your team, I’m not interested in talking to you about one of the things in life I hate most, unless it’s about you losing.

Lots here feel the same way - so here’s a thought - go and talk to people who like your team.

I don't have that attitude at all. Have plenty of Port people who are friends.

Might surprise a lot here when I say I don't mind Port winning games.

End of the day it is just Football. Havent we all learnt in the last three or so months how important it really is?


But the zealots on this site and in the real world who think a club with a record like their's in the last 20 years is an industry leader...


They are the ones my negativity is aimed at, always has been.

Well, I guess you are gonna go on measuring success by supporting teams who beat Port, even if it was several years ago. Who cares if that team cost you B2B flags with drugged up players...

That's depressing.

Some find it difficult to differentiate between the clubs and supporters. I have no problem with people disliking a club, but by default hating supporters because they support a different club to you is childish in my opinion.

I judge supporters on their own merits personally, and I'd hope others would do the same.

FFS I do enjoy occasional banter and trolling from opposition posters, but there is a limit.

You need to also remember while it is August and seem late in the year, in a normal year the season would only be around May, its from June onwards when Port fly the white surrender flag when their premiership aspirations turn upside down and they turn on Kenny.

but to come onto our very own Adelaide board and sprout his toxic nonsense time and time again is just no longer acceptable. Something needs to be done about it.

I dont even bother with the Port board and would never post on it.. just not worth my time.

as for port supporters.. i have many great friends that are.. some that are also great friends with current port adelaide players.. and yes, some of those port supporting friends of mine are as one eyed as they come... but none of them would be as disrespectful and carry on like a complete flog like this bloke does.

as for the club itself... its really insecure about it shallow history.. thats very easy to see and the two greatest examples are the pathetic attempt to emulate Liverpool’s “you’ll never walk alone” start to their games with the “never tear us apart” scarf waving..

You need to understand and respect that Port have only been in the competition for about 20 years. They are trying valiantly hard to fabricate and manufacture an illusion of history and culture with smoke and mirrors. Kudos to Port Power for making the Club like a Cult.

Singing a song before the game is for the simple inbred folk down from Alberton to bond and is in their unique yet stolen way of generating a false sense of pride and bravado.

Sure we all know how this song "Never Tear Us Apart" ends. It ends in salty Alberton tears when their supporter base wants a piece of Kenny at the start of every September. There is a reason Torn is often heard more than Never Tear Us Apart.
