Their argument that they 'put time and resources into them' is a joke. Every club would do this if they could.

The whole nga thing will run into problems as well that will undermine the whole point of equalisation through the draft.

Instead of playing in a hugely compromised Grand Final, imagine if GWS played in a grand final where there was no huge advantage to the opposition team. Imagine if they won and then imagine the impact a GWS grand final win would have had on the growth of the game in Western Sydney and all of NSW.

I'd suggest late 30s to early 40s likely range

I've watched Newchurch closely this season and if we're talking his pick value purely on his performances thus far he's more back half of the draft/rookie, it's fine to factor in future potential but if another club is to put in a bid earlier than that I think there's certainly an element of risk involved. All that can change of course with far more convincing on field performances but so far I'm left wanting performance wise, certainly not lived up to the hype some have put on him so far.

You don’t reckon having a larger salary cap for a long time, having the attraction of living in Sydney (lots of external footy opportunities and don’t have to worry about the fishbowl environment like Adelaide) and having endless access to prime zones for academy players helps drive that culture a bit? There would have to be serious issues with your club to not succeed with that type of leg up over most of the competition.

Kane Cornes is paid a lot of money by Craig Hutchison et al to do what he does. If you have no shame and/or no care for what people think of you then you can get pretty rich in this world. Just don't expect anyone to take you seriously.
