He'd be lucky to be worth pick 20. But Dodo is an absolute pelican at the trade table. So doesn't surprise me thats what they expect for someone that wants out. I hope Carlton walk him to the PSD just to fu** over Essendon.

This isn't a bad option. However, I'd be trying to keep pick 25, and send our future 2nd round pick. then we could have 2,7,9,25.

The only concern is, I don't think Collingwood will have the cap space for Brown. Unless they offload DeGoey.

Agree as still got to up their mio offer

Jordan Clarke is a 19 year old high draft pick, who’s played 20 odd games... do people really think the cats would offer him with their list profile?

It's absurd when you look at it on the surface, and it would usually be unfeasible based on just about every other club, but then you look at their list management over the past 5 years...................

If they lose this week, then there's going to be enormous pressure applied to focusing on youth, and I reckon any Higgo-Cats dreams will start to dissipate...............unless we decide to bend over for them.

Its more about opportunity cost. IN a scenario where we are giving up nothing but a PSD pick and where we have ample cap room we'd be nuts not to take it.

I agree with you - was gutted when he said no due to lack of draft equity it would have cost us, but thinking about our list and his injury history, I’m not too worried. We should be targeting the next one, Lachy Ash, in his ear now or better yet let’s draft a back flanker with his wheels and skills in the next 3 drafts.

The last thing we want is a dead cat bounce to 12th next year.

Stone motherless with 21 honourable defeats, please. The moons have aligned for us to have 18 months at the bottom without the heartache of no crowds and associated pressures being an issue.

Has anyone visited Marysville after the bushfires? It’s magnificent.

We’ll be the same.

Sell them on the fact that Higgins will be better in the last 2 productive years of dangermouse, Hawkins, Duncan etc.
It wouldn’t just be selling Geelong here, You’d think Jordan believes he is best 22 in a premiership team..
Totally agree but bringing in higgo will push his further back no?

I thought he played that HB role, so he’s competing with Tuohy, Bews, Steward.. I wouldn’t be surprised once his body develops he leapfrogs all of the above.

In those clips he played anywhere there was a gap.... defence wing and was kicking goals

I haven't looked at how we could do it, but it would be good to trade down the Melbourne pick to the carlton pick.

That way we get indise the GWS compensation picks.

I reckon Carlton will be looking to split it in 2 with Geelong's 1st round picks for the Saad deal.

I don't know. I do know he has elite traits and does his best work at the coal-face. Part of his inconsistency at Carlton may be due to the difficulty of playing that contested, big-bodied role (a) next to Cripps, (b) without the core strength, and (c) without the tank to complement it. I think he has potential and is worth a shot. And his granddad was a Shinboner.
PIES LOWBALLING MIHOCEK

Collingwood will have to find more money to secure three-goal finals hero Brody Mihocek, who has been offered a three-season deal but with only a modest pay rise.

The club has significant cap issues so cannot offer him a deal that reflects his form.

He would ideally love to remain at Collingwood, which will lock away Josh Daicos as he continues his huge breakout season.

The Herald Sun revealed last month the club’s salary squeeze could force Mihocek out of the Pies.

Despite an improved offer there is still not common ground on his deal.

CLARK ON OUTER AT CATS

Young Cat Jordan Clark has fallen out-of-favour in his second season at the club despite Geelong’s need for speed.

The Western Australian dazzled in his first season at the Cattery, playing 18 games in a rebounding defensive role to finish equal fifth in the Rising Star award.

But Clark has played only three matches in a follow-up season amid suggestions he was being continually left out because he needed to tighten up his defensive skills.

The 19-year-old averaged 13 disposals in his three games this year including seven contested possessions in total.

But he can add some line breaking run and is rated for his ability to read the play and cleanness at ground level.

The Cats have an ageing backline and outside of Patrick Dangerfield and Gary Rohan are light on for high-end leg speed, especially in the back half.

Clark is contracted for next season after signing a two-year deal and will have big plans to re-establish his position in the senior side in 2021.

He could slot in for Irishman Zach Tuohy, 30, who is out of contract at season’s end.

Tuohy has played 16 games and averaged 17 disposals a game this year.
Both of these worth a look
