Yeah I like your thinking. I really like him as an attacking KPD to compliment Butts, but he has the traits to maybe become a genuine forward too
I've really liked what I've seen from Murray. Having him on the list makes me more open to the idea of swinging McAsey forward. I can often be accused of being overly optimistic but I'm certainly not confident in Fish down back (though not completely writing him off yet - young, bad preseason, compromised 2020 etc). Murray just seems to be up for the fight and backs himself. Could end up being a fantastic SSP

Ferres reminds me a bit of 2018 draft bolter Sam Sturt game wise who really looked the goods late in the season for the Dandenong Stingrays and a star for the future kicking 3 goals on debut last year, unfortunately he's had a wretched run with injuries and concussions, a season ending knee injury in his only game early this season. I could see Ferres sneaking into the 1st round with a good Nationals and big finish to the season.

Forgot to mention that booming kick but not sure about his accuracy re goal kicking.

I'd actually like to see Murray persevered with up forward, unlike all of our Forwards he has a prodigious leap, strong aggressive contested mark and not frightened to split a pack open to bring the ball to ground.

I think a lot of people agree with this.

Now that you mention him was a little bit concerned he was nowhere to be seen last week end. He’d had a run in Sturt reserves the week before kicking 2.1. Hopefully not another injury to one of SA’s key players. I haven’t heard anything - not sure if you might have ?

This is not a very sensible idea.
(1) If NM really want Horne, they will just take him and not consider such a trade.
(2) If they really want someone else, of course they would do the trade, laughing all the way to the bank. However, in this case, we would have no need to do the trade. ;)
A good way to look at it. We should offer something in between then ... something that wont be looked at if they're deadset keen on Horne, something juicy enough to sway them if they have several players they'd be happy with, but not something we'd be overpaying if they would be happy taking someone else and laugh at us.

Adelaide will entertain offers for two of its star free agents, Matt Crouch and Daniel Talia.

Rival clubs, particularly those based in Victoria (where Crouch and Talia grew up) have this week become aware of Adelaide’s willingness to let them walk out of the club.

Senior sources at Adelaide have also told The Age that versatile veteran Tom Lynch is also unlikely to be offered a new contract, which has raised eyebrows among some teammates.

Neither Crouch (groin) nor Talia (foot) have played this season as they deal with ongoing injuries and both are in the final years of their contract.

Crouch has long been linked with a move back to Victoria and those noises have only become louder since his brother

Rival clubs told The Age on Wednesday that both players would be valued at approximately second-round draft picks, mainly due to Crouch’s injury history and Talia’s age.

I have been looking at a few blokes in the SANFL who may or may not have draft potential in the next year or two. I don’t know them. What do you think?
James Willis
Zac Becker
Cody Gilchrist
Jacob Owens
Lewis Rayson
Dustin Launer
Kobe Ryan
Cooper murley
Felix packer
Tom wheaton
Mateas Philippou

When I see comments like this, it just reinforces to me that some people (players included) have NFI where we are in terms of our premiership window.

Why would officials do this. Would do litttle for team harmony. I would have hoped we would treat Talia with more respect. Let’s keep these things in house. McClure whether we like him or not is often on the money with Adelaide. There must be someone who gives him good oil. Nicks team first approach does not seem to fit with this leaking. Is it roo that is talking to the media

At least Kelly and co. seem to have an idea, which is a positive

Would be the players' managers. Happens all the time.

Watch for Roo to respond and say something stupid though lol.

When they talk about Crouch's injury history what do they mean? Because other than this year he's been relatively healthy most of his career? Same with Talia, he's barely missed a game until this year.

These Vic journos have no idea.

It depends on how many picks / trades we're looking for ......I can see 3-4 players that can be delisted, but holding 2-3 players and forcing us to delist talent ....well I'm not sure about that

I guess the club planned for this to be Tex's last year ....so that was a bit of a spanner

As an advocate of getting rid of Crouch .....I'd actually keep him now, we have enough pace now to surround him, and for his lack of pace to not be as big a negative as it has in the past

So, yes as tough as it is, I'd let Talia, Lynch, Mackay, Davis, and unfortunately Borlaise .....leaving us a list size of 39

So where are we? .....IMO we're right on track, a few pieces of the puzzle missing still

Another Class Midfielder (speed) to add to the bash brothers, Schoenberg, McHenrey, Jones, and Milera
Another KPF
Lastly, I'm finding it hard to see ROB as a Premiership Ruckman

Making the 8 in 2023 !

In what world does our midfield have enough pace? And which of Schoenberg, Berry, or Pedlar is going to miss out on yet more midfield development minutes, even if Crouch directly replaces Sloane?

Nah, easiest and best thing in the world is to offload Crouch for a second round compensation pick, Lynch to Geelong for what is currently 27, Talia to... I have no idea who would think they need him, maybe Bulldogs if they don't win it this year?

Gives us pick 2-4 and 4 second round picks plus whatever arrives for Talia to hit the draft, and start trading up with teams looking for points or splits.

A small forward with speed is a dire need too.
