A small forward with speed is a dire need too.
Sorry, 100% agree ....Rowe highly doubtful after his 2 year Contract expires .....as footy smart as he is, there are better players on our list who are more dangerous, and is that speedy small mid that changes the FWD dynamics .....we're talking Charlie / Kosi types

Why? when he was interviewed they had pick 1 and then beat west coast and till hold pick 1. Story was about the 3 young players and they asked North if they had 1 what would they do

Ok, now you've provided more context.

Your original post didn't make any mention of "if they had pick 1".

I have been looking at a few blokes in the SANFL who may or may not have draft potential in the next year or two. I don’t know them. What do you think?
James Willis
Zac Becker
Cody Gilchrist
Jacob Owens
Lewis Rayson
Dustin Launer
Kobe Ryan
Cooper murley
Felix packer
Tom wheaton
Mateas Philippou
Any feedback appreciated

So where are we? .....IMO we're right on track, a few pieces of the puzzle missing still

Another Class Midfielder (speed) to add to the bash brothers, Schoenberg, McHenrey, Jones, and Milera
Another KPF
Lastly, I'm finding it hard to see ROB as a Premiership Ruckman

Making the 8 in 2023 !

I think my point is that I have absolutely no issues with us letting Lynch go - so not sure why the players would have issues with that.

Adelaide will entertain offers for two of its star free agents, Matt Crouch and Daniel Talia.

Rival clubs, particularly those based in Victoria (where Crouch and Talia grew up) have this week become aware of Adelaide’s willingness to let them walk out of the club.

Senior sources at Adelaide have also told The Age that versatile veteran Tom Lynch is also unlikely to be offered a new contract, which has raised eyebrows among some teammates.

Neither Crouch (groin) nor Talia (foot) have played this season as they deal with ongoing injuries and both are in the final years of their contract.

Crouch has long been linked with a move back to Victoria and those noises have only become louder since his brother

Rival clubs told The Age on Wednesday that both players would be valued at approximately second-round draft picks, mainly due to Crouch’s injury history and Talia’s age.

LOL

More of the AFL owned media mafia running something up the flagpole to get a reaction.

Senior sources LOL LOL

Why would the anyone at the club do this, immediately it would devalue any negotiating tactics even if it was the case.

Crouch's injury history?
Until this year all he's ever had a a few minor issues that he's quickly overcome and he's only 26 ffs.
Crouch long been linked with a move back to Victoria?
Can't say I've ever heard any of that until Sam Manure runs with it today, hardly a reliable source.

What teammates raised their eyebrows, another use of journalistic flair there I'd say.

I've been thinking more and more about Grundy as the year goes on, front end his $$$$ contract to make room in 3-4 years when we need it for the future stars.

It's pure and utter speculation, especially with the "linked back" talk. Both Crouches and Talia would be more than happy to spend their entire careers in Adelaide. It may work out that all 3 end up back in Melbourne, but nothing at all to do with some sort of desire to get out of Adelaide as implied.

Maybe the Players Managers leaking info to the Press to put pressure on the Club

I think the sources are senior BigFooty sources. ;)

It’s rumoured that Crouch’s manager is chasing a 5 year deal, Adelaide not entertaining it

Not sure speculation is the right word, more like more fertile imagination by the AFL media mafia with Sam Manure their lead hitman..

I'd say every manager is chasing a 5 year deal when their client first comes to free agency cause they're 26-27 years old. Last chance to get one like that.

To be fair, it was about this time last year the Brad rumours started to heat up

I think Manure hasn’t done a lot of general research, particularly regarding the BS statement about Matt’s supposed ‘injury history’, but we can’t count these whispers as completely untrue IMO

When they say 3 x 2nd rounders for Matt, Lynch and Talia, they likely mean band 3 for Matt and end of 2nd round, band 4 for Talia and Lynch.

It's still leaving us with 5x 2nd rounders, jesus.
Band 3 would be right after our r2 pick, which by finishing low this year, could be something in the early 20s - and not much different to a Band 2 compo.

When they talk about Crouch's injury history what do they mean? Because other than this year he's been relatively healthy most of his career? Same with Talia, he's barely missed a game until this year.

These Vic journos have no idea.
True, but Talia should've missed more games during his career than he has.

Like most of our senior players, they've played to their detriment at times.

Why would officials do this. Would do litttle for team harmony. I would have hoped we would treat Talia with more respect. Let’s keep these things in house. McClure whether we like him or not is often on the money with Adelaide. There must be someone who gives him good oil. Nicks team first approach does not seem to fit with this leaking. Is it roo that is talking to the media
Jesus - what a leap of logic.

It's the player agents leaking it, to try and generate interest in their clients. It's ALWAYS the player agents. FFS, it's older than the oldest play in the books.
