West AdelaideI'm starting to lean towards Hobbs. He just seems an absolute lock to be a Topline mid.As the days go by I like the idea of Erasmus more but deep down I know we aren't picking a WA lad with pick 4
West AdelaideYou're not worried he's more of what we already have .....both in physical dimensions and as an inside playerI'm starting to lean towards Hobbs. He just seems an absolute lock to be a Topline mid.

This , just wish there was more vision of him. Would liked if he played the pre Grand Final game , but he’s not playing another game this yearAs the days go by I like the idea of Erasmus more but deep down I know we aren't picking a WA lad with pick 4
West AdelaideGF curtain raiser isnt it?Mutineer ....when's the next WA v SA game being played ....it was rumored to be going ahead
BTW, think it's about time to revert to "Bicks" .....god, what possessed you

Smart management. Shops himself to Essendon. No-one wants to deal with DoDo.

West AdelaideFeel like we need the guy with the highest ceiling as a quick midfielder with elite foots skills, and no shorties.
Josh Sinn, come on down.
Completely agreeYou're not worried he's more of what we already have .....both in physical dimensions and as an inside player
I don't disagree that Hobbs is a worthy selection .....but our midfield requires some diversity, and in an even Draft, we will most likely Draft for needs as much as talent
Another player I’d look at recruiting would be this guy . Hopefully he has a brother as well. I’d like a forward line of Rachele , Rachele [emoji38]

A one-time member of the Australian under-17 soccer squad, Rachele turned down a scholarship offer from A-League club Melbourne City to instead focus on his football. The Shepparton product is an explosive X-factor player who has been likened to Greater Western Sydney star Toby Greeneand is a strong forward who can also transition through the midfield. A boarder at Caulfield Grammar, Rachele won the Kevin Sheehan Medal as the best player in Division 1 of the under-16 national championships in 2019 and started 2021 in similar sizzling fashion. In Round 3 of the NAB League, he logged 17 disposals, five marks, seven score involvements and kicked four goals for the Bushrangers. The AFL Academy member, who trained with Carlton earlier this year, also caught the eye in an exhibition match against Geelong’s VFL side in April, finishing as one of two players on his team to kick a goal. Rachele has genuine footy smarts and the athletic traits to match. He finished equal-eighth in the running vertical jump during NAB League pre-season testing, clocking a leap of 92cm.PLAYERCARDSTART4Toby Greene

I think he may be gone before our pick and while I'd prefer a different style of player I wouldnt be against it if we thought he was going to be elite. You're not worried he's more of what we already have .....both in physical dimensions and as an inside player

Struggling to think what we actually have in the midfield right now that we wouldn't try to get an upgrade on?You're not worried he's more of what we already have .....both in physical dimensions and as an inside player

You need absolute premium contested mids to win a flag, and you probably need 3 or 4 of them. You're not worried he's more of what we already have .....both in physical dimensions and as an inside player

I don't think we have enough of anything yet really. Powerful contested mids will always be valuable - look how WB destroyed Port.Completely agree
So in the next 2 years we get Dawson, Rankine, Lukosious, Draper and Robert’s
West AdelaideSchoenberg, Pedlar, Crouch, Keays, and Berry , and possibly Jones ....all contested players, 3 of which are left footers, which is a plusYou need absolute premium contested mids to win a flag, and you probably need 3 or 4 of them.
Hobbs just absolutely seems like he could start in the square from day one. I think he absolutely would be something we need, because he's a pure mid.
Been thinking about what our tactics would be on draft day. We need the best available mid at our pick, who is possibly Callaghan. So does that mean trading up, trading down , or holding pick 4 .Thoughts on splitting 4 for 7 and 15 grabbing Draper and Robert’s
Pick 23 and next years third for Dawson and Sydney’s next years third
Our 2022 to Gold Coast for Rankine then next year use our 2023 first for Lukosious
So in the next 2 years we get Dawson, Rankine, Lukosious, Draper and Robert’s
I think Gold Coast might blink with Rankine this year but we can’t go after both Rankine and Lukosious next year if both are out of contract. Need to try and pry Rankine out this year
Theres absolutely no chance suns give up a contracted rankine this year without demanding, at a minimum, a first rounder.Thoughts on splitting 4 for 7 and 15 grabbing Draper and Robert’s

West AdelaideUncontracted !Then Dawson, if he picks us, I think will at least cost us this years second and 2022 2nd.. we may need to bundle them up and trade them to the dogs for their first to give to sydney.. like carlolton did to get the 1st we wanted for (Mcfatso)..
