Interesting that in the Richmond whispers, Twomey said Richmond had already approached us about a 4 for 7 and 15 swap. Have to say, I'm taking that deal.
Maybe they will call in again and offer something extra?
4 and 33 for 7, 15 and 26? Then trade 26 out for a 2022 pick?

Would they do 2 + 13 for 4 and our 2022 1st?

They'd be crazy not to given our first is likely to be a top 6 pick.

I saw an interview a week or so ago which made me think he may be well in the mix for us at 33 - it then further research made me think I had misread the interview. I see Cal has him right in the mix for us

Losing to us was the smartest thing they could do to help their draft position.

They could have easily dropped another game and got pick 4, 2 losses and its pick 2. They beat Lions, Bulldogs and drew with Richmond and Dees. They didn't lose to us for a draft pick.

Interesting that Hamish mentioned they really rate Sandy Dragons over ager Lachlan Carrigan but they can't pick him because he hasn't played at all for 2 years due to Covid and a long term injury after showing great promise as an under ager in 2019, I wonder if we'd consider him as a train on player this pre-season if he's good to go now. A speedy hard running winger/outside mid over 190cm and a December birthday so not 19 yet either. Tested brilliantly too back before the 2020 season was wiped out 2.91 20m, 21.6 Yo-Yo and over 80cm vertical jump off both feet. Said we'll be keeping a close eye on his return to footy next year...why not get the early jump?

Yep I’ve seen him play 4+x

rated Wayne Milera higher at the same age , similar ball use but Wayne had a better ability to win the ball which was proven in nationals and also finals at Central’s

I’m not saying NWM is no good , all I’m saying is he’s closer to pick 20 on my ratings than top 10

Must be a weak draft if Rachelle is rated at our pick.. I'm not seeing anything of his supposed x-factor brilliance in any utube footage..
Looks like yet another role player we are going to waste a high pick on.
Rankine is available in 12 months we should focus on him and getting McAadam fit.
Surely there's a big mid that's better than this bloke at our pick.

They most definitely would. Big gamble by us but if the club sees us winning 10 plus games it's worth it. Take Callaghan at 2 or alternatively we trade 2 to Richmond for 7, 15, 26 which would give us 7,13,15, 26,33. Use 7,13,15 and trade out 26 and 33 into next year. If Richmond won't do it offer 2, 33 ( 3080 points) for 7,15,26 (3485 points). Tigers really want Callaghan so they may do 2 (2517 points) for 7,15, 26.
