What's amazing about the Dogs win is they did it easily with only one player getting more than 25 touches

Their midfield is so deep and strong that guys like Liberatore can have a very high influence from only 19 disposals

Their marking cut powaa up big time. Naughton was big first quarter.

Is Chris Scott or Ken Hinkley a worse finals coach? Think it's a genuine toss-up

Chris Scott, sure he got 2011 with the team on autopilot, but since then the amount of talent he's squandered is staggering. Especially considering how bad that record is. Multiple top 10 midfielders, including a Brownlow medallist? check. The entire peak of Tom Hawkins? check. Being able to attract genuine talent left right and centre at will? check.

Hinkley is more the Brad Scott of this period. Solid albeit unspectacular coach running a team who had enough talent to make finals, but not enough to be a genuine premiership threat on their own. Eventually just capping out as club that can reliably get to finals, but are destined to roll over when the genuine premiership contenders roll up. The gatekeeper, if you will.

Agree, but that money is used for chasing Dawson who they don't actually need as much as a good KPD. So much for recruiting for need and getting the players they want, they just grab whoever want to join them.

he was a superstar talent, whose career was curtailed by injury. His connection to the Essendon football club is not a journeyman who didn’t make the grade

By the looks he’s obviously fairly invested in Melbourne too
