It has an index at the top with threadmarks so it's easy to find what you're looking for – or easier than scrolling through 250 pages of AFL Rules, Regulations and CBA pdfs anyway.

These sorts of questions are all answered along with a bunch of other resources made by posters from across BigFooty (feel free to add to it!):

Bruhn gives us that point of difference in our mid without Daniels there - its promising to see its the young guns in Ash, XOH and Bruhn +/- Daniels when fit who give us that zip and unpredictability at centre bounces. Hopper to an extent as well given his first couple of steps and evasiveness by hand are first class.

In terms of the debate between Callaghan vs. Gibcus with our first pick (highly doubt we can trade up to 1 for Horne), itll depend on how we see Stone/Angwin developing vs. Stein/Buckley/Fleeton as well. At the same time, looking at history, premier defenders (Harris Andrews, Grimes, Tom Stewart, Astbury, May, Lever, Sam Taylor, Jonas, Phil Davis, Moore, McGovern, Tom McCartin, Rampe, Blicavs, Collins, Talia, Harry Taylor) could pop up anywhere between mid-late first round all the way to rookie draft rather than necessarily top 5 picks, Weitering being the exception from recent memory. Personally, I think Callaghan is the likely better and safer pick at this stage and we could look to develop him as a winger with inside grunt much like XOH currently. Would unleash Whitfield and Ash to rotate through HB with more freedom. In 2 years, I think XOH will be a beast if injuries dont hinder him (his possessions are already starting to improve). To address the KPD role, could we look to trade to bring Jarrod Brander as a utility who is OOC given he is originally from sydney?

Definitely pick best available and definitely don't trade it! Pick 2 is very valuable and very hard to come by.
Unless we rate Gibcus best anyway and we might be able to swap with Hawthorne or something and get Gibcus plus something else.

The only people giving mixed reviews of Gibcus are blokes that haven't watched him or rate performance way higher than potential, I'd put money on the fact that he'd be in 90% of recruiters top 10 with his athleticism, positioning and marking. I agree on best available at Pick 2 with Callaghan, who again any mixed reviews there are from people that haven't seen a lot of him, but if the pick ends up the third live one Gibcus is the guy I'd want us to go for and I reckon we would go for.

Cheers, that would be the way I'm leaning, in the absence of seeing any U19 Championships' performances. #2 (becoming #4) = Callaghan. #3 (becoming #5) = Gibcus (believing Callaghan will be gone). Later than that, what's your thoughts (because I presume Gold Coast would snaffle Gibcus) - Mac Andrew?

Yeah pretty easy one to lock in, although I genuinely think if we don't take Gibcus or Andrew with that first pick then we won't get either, then attention probably turns more to finding a value trade for our own first rounder, preferably a future first

I'd be very disappointed if we picked Andrew with that first pick.
Way too much bust potential for a top 5 pick.
The whole risk reward is way out of whack for the very early picks
Caruso has said before we go for who we predict to have the best career with those higher picks, bust potential yes but I'd guess our recruiters would back the club to get more boom from them. His actual game isn't far off the pace imo, mainly size that'll keep him away from AFL footy for a season or two

Callaghan ..... I have seen comparisons to Josh Kelly - and who wouldn't want 2 of that kind of player? - but there's definitely some risk factors in his temperament and skills, some small injury concerns (think another JK!).

Where is Ryan Angwin at?. He certainly has a similar body shape to Josh Kelly, but that's all I know about him. Has he progressed/ impressed?

Don't know. From what I saw in the broadcast games he's OK, but not outstanding at this point. It will be a case of our usual issues - too many talented kids for the spots available in the team.

We needed this bounty last year when pick 2 would have got McDonald or Grainger-Barrass. The former would have been a direct replacement for Jezza, which is where we are short.

I wouldn’t be too worried about Angwin. His birthday is December so very young for the draft class. I think we will see big improvement in him next year.

Who with? I would guess hawthorn would do it, might need to give them a 2022r2 as well. I guess sam Mitchell's ego would think he will improve hawks, but I think they might go backwards a bit next year. So it might be pick 2, 36 for pick 6,5.
Trade #2 for a 2021 1st rounder and 2022 1st tounder

Yeah something like that .... or talk to Collingwood, they need more young guns .... oh wait :D

PMBangers what is the knock on Rachele? He seems like the type that would compliment our list nicely
Work rate and body language have been the two things that really concern me, as well as how he interacts with teamamtes on field but I assume thats more passion/ heat of the moment. He's in the range overall though I'd guess because he's an elite kick and can tear games open, but I get some Troy Menzel vibes from him at times

Hypothetical: If Pies finish third, Callaghan is taken by Crows, we took Gibcus with the Collingwood pick, and our next pic (let's call it #12, which has slid to #14 due Daicos & Darcy, just for the hypothetical), and some of the players available are: Rachele, Chesser, Sinn, Sonsie & Draper ... who would be your call (based on current observation/assessment)?

Oh jeez that's a good deal bunch! Personally I'd go Sonsie, very marginally over Sinn at this stage, but that's probably the stage of the draft I'm happy to trade out for a future first as well if an appropriate offer came, say if a Gold Coast or a team like that looking to fill a specific need came knocking. Just reading between the lines of what Caruso has said, I reckon the club would go Rachele in that instance though

I doubt that all 5 of those names would be there in real life, but I think it's entirely possible that 3 would be. If the club were to go Rachele (and he certainly has his supporters as well as detractors), then we would tick of 2 out of 3 priorities as I see them (KPD & goal-kicking small/medium forward) ... with potential that Rachele can transition into a midfielder with some zip in the future. Just the questions about his work ethic and attitude; but maybe if he models himself on Toby, the great man can mould him appropriately.
