I have a feeling Parks could be Jones's replacement in future.

I see Parks as someone who might be able to pinch hit as a KPD, but overall lacks the reach and ability to be in the same postcode as Jones' game style.

Probably more of a blend between Weitering and Docherty, really.

Where is our development more so? High end picks should be more damaging by now. Bar #1’s, we’re lacking.

Geelong was leading the race with this initially but Richmond have taken it to another level.

The stand alone argument completely overlooks the fact that Carlton had the keys to the NBs and opted to to invest very little in them.
If this attitude remains, the move will amount to a marketing ploy & very little else - hopefully the penny has finally dropped that a strong development pathway will often result in a strong senior side.

Will Hayward 2024 but can’t get a look in so far this year.

Interestingly enough I remember commenting on Sam in his first year how he seemed to quite often be having a go at his team-mates for not passing or turning it over etc etc.

I can't recall what I thought at the time, probably said he was being a brat. I haven't really seen any of that from him at all this or last season. I think I miss it. I think we need it sometimes.

Naturally, we overlook and decide to drop down the order to #18 and pick the kid with an ACL...

I say this slightly tongue in cheek as I’m a good wrap on Kemp but imagine having Pickett in our forward line applying pressure like he is tonight against the Saints.

Anyone know why we didn't have a standalone VFL side sooner? The benefits seem obvious. Play the exact same gameplan/structure with players in the same role in the VFL side so they can step into the AFL side and do the same thing. More control over the team.
