PR to who?I think GWS will be the big winners here, I can see the Suns needing to do some damage control and PR and snare Pick 2 for Callaghan, having lost Greenwood.
Probably will have to pay overs to get it too.
All GWS really need to do is to say this is what the Crows have offered us, can you beat it or we are giving to the Crows?
He had a 3 year deal with the Wildcats.Like I posted before I can’t remember if he had a actual “Contract” but he certainly slam dunked a commitment
Yeah, Brodie was a salary dump as well.Greenwood's decision coukd be a double whammy
Not sure if GC would have traded Will Brodieif they knew they would be losing GreenwoodPLAYERCARDSTART23Will Brodie

The 10-15 posters on Bigfooty.PR to who?
They don't have a supporter base to placate.
No doubt his initial Tweet was instructed by the SUNS PR team.Just gone and deleted all references to the Suns on his Twitter profile too.
Got to wonder if the Suns did want his salary gone.Strange how Gold Coast don't seem upset at all.
He's signing as a DFA though, not being drafted. So this is on Hugh, considering he said he was going back to the Suns sounds like he's pulled a fast one on 'em.
May not have traded away pick 19 either. The way they're going they'll have to use those 2022 picks they got to trade back into this year's draft.Greenwood's decision coukd be a double whammy
Not sure if GC would have traded Will Brodie if they knew they would be losing Greenwood

Has he though? Wasn’t top 10 in their b&f this year, 4th last year. Reached his ceiling. Not really what you want to focus on with the young talent they’ve got.
He's probably shown at this point he's a mercenary who'll go for the $. That's fine, as long as you don't try and pretend it's something that it's not. You'll probably hear all platitudes about North having an exciting young list, good chance for him to make an impact on an up and coming team etc etc when it's just they offered him the most cash.a bad look Hugh.
let’s not forget he bailed on the Perth Wildcats just after signing a new 3 yr contract with them, to come over to us
GC perhaps a little surprised that he couldn’t be trusted.
Because the delisted player has to agree to it
Wasn't GC the club that gave him 4 instead of the 2 we offered? No idea if they were the only club into himHe's probably shown at this point he's a mercenary who'll go for the $. Poorly worded on my part. Player needs to agree to it to make it come off.no they don’t.
the clubs do not require the players consent to delist or re-draft the player. Even a contracted one.
good practice would involve consultation etc. But permission is not needed

Anyway if I’m the Suns I’m thrilled at this outcome. Even if it’s a balls up, they’re better off as a result.
Maybe they need to do a George Costanza and just do the opposite of what their list management instinct says.North had to come in for Hugh before he got any agency in the situation; without that he was powerless
They increased their offer to him so they weren’t that keen to see him go.
If they really wanted shot of him they could just have put him up for trade, North clearly would have given them something for him
Curiously I wonder if Nobles knowledge of how the Crows snaffled him from the NBL informed North’s approach? He’s a sucker for a better contract so he might just take the bait…
Sounds like the GC is run by Yankee Management and Mr StienbrennerMaybe they need to do a George Costanza and just do the opposite of what their list management instinct says.

Or $400k for Luko...I don't think Rankine will be in Qld.Got to wonder if the Suns did want his salary gone.
They have Luko and Rankine's contracts coming up and 400k split between them is handy.

Such a drama queen. I simply corrected your statement and then if you read on you will see that I agreed that the CHO stuffed up big time. No need to ctritise my comment at all.Sorry, so you think it's ok that it's possible to provide context to a Premier and state CHO telling their constituents to not get vaccinated? Even if you do consider that reasonable, you must understand the damage this does to those on the margins in terms of getting them on side.

Coincidence that Wayne Campbell is in charge at the Suns ......his time was inglorious at GWS & I was surprised he got another footy gig, other than a club changerooms doorman .....has always acted out of his depth, one of those that speaks well, which disguises incompetenceSounds like the GC is run by Yankee Management and Mr Stienbrenner

However, in hindsight, the Suns’ footy boss ultimately says they would have done it differently, had they had their time again.
“I think so (that we’d do it differently),” Campbell continued.
“We needed to do this to get to the three selections in the National Draft.
“You’ll ask me who that is (that we could have picked differently) and I don’t know, if there had of been a better option, we would have done that at the time.”
“We were aware that there was the potential for this to happen, but we thought we chose the players that other clubs would potentially pass on, given circumstances,” Campbell said.
“Hugh was one of those, being a 30-year-old and having a year to go on his contract here.
“When it came through yesterday (Sunday) that North Melbourne had made him a very good offer, we got in touch with Hugh and we’ve had a chat with him over the last 24 hours and he goes with our blessing.
Just pure bull****“While we didn’t plan for this to happen by any stretch, Hugh goes with our absolute best wishes, and we feel like we’ve got a pretty good midfield that can stand up in 2022.”
“We certainly chatted to him this morning and we’ve had some great conversations with Hugh.
Gold Coast wanted to maintain their age profile and not get any younger, which is why they hoped to recruit Greenwood and the other delisted players through one of the drafts.
“The way our list is set up, the fact we have to have three selections in the draft and with our age profile, the reason behind it is we wanted to maintain our age profile, or not get any younger,” Campbell confirmed.
