Love a good projection.
Filthy degenerates from Alberton must have won, they have undertaken their migration pattern after a win.

where were you after that beautiful Prelim Final last year?

covid restrictions does not prevent you posting on here.

Does anyone ever remember either team posing for soo many fotos with the showdown trophy after a win?

I can't remember seeing either team do it like last night.

They always do after a Showdown win.

We just grab the trophy and at best, pose with it like we've just won a pre-season cup. Their Showdown wins are up there with their Premierships in their minds.

I guess it's the way each club views the match - to us it's just another game, to them it's their Grand Final

Seriously?

You can't be serious...

1 injury replaced by 1 sub, means no loss in rotations... if Lycett wasn't a thug.

Nicks said after the game that it wasn't just an injury to a player that affected our rotations, it was 2 injuries, they were BOTH early in the game, AND they were two similar player types. He's spot on in that it meant we had to push midfielders up the ground more, but then it meant we were getting murdered in the stoppages. You end up just plugging holes for the match.

The one thing i found interesting from his interview is that Nicks & Co thought the ground would dry up after the rain that morning, but then it just got really dewy/slippery by game time. I didn't agree with going super tall in attack regardless of the conditions, but with the ground being slippery and two small forwards going off we were basically doomed from then.

Taking a gamble on the makeup/structure of the team is down to the coaches, and we absolutely stuffed it up.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here.

People are getting more outraged over some messages (you know, words) received from a dick head supporter... Than a sling tackle to a player half his weight which caused a brain injury.

Way to paint yourself as the victim Lycett you dog campaigner.

Dittmar painted it similarly - paraphrased

Lycett flies the flag maybe a bit more than needed but OMG Roo your supporters going off on social media was disgusting

It was a sling tackle. He timed it wrong , he didn't lift him off the ground. Not long ago this was the perfect tackle , it's not now.. He'll get weeks , calm down. Thug? Lol you'd think he's killed 5 children... He's been suspended what .. once before?

When we are trying to break down stigma towards mental health around online bullying with references of suicide and threatening families , do you not think this should be called out?

The pieces of shit have all deleted their accounts and ran for the hills..

Are you all there?

Comeon both teams do this..
We've done it a bit more this year because we're in the prison bars.

Wasn't long ago you posed brilliantly for winning the AFL X

Excuse me, that has NEVER been the perfect tackle.

He didnt time it wrong, the big flog knew exactly what he was doing, especially the bit where he dragged a clearly concussed McHenry along the ground.

I dont have to ask whether you're all there.... you're clearly not

Caused a brain injury vs some hate mail from a dick head supporter of the person you caused a brain injury to.

Which is worse.

Why do you keep coming into this board? Go jerk off your port power friends on your own board and talk about what a hero Lycett is.

Brain injury really?
He's concussed,... His intent wasn't to injure him , it was a careless tackle during a football action. He didn't hit him from behind? It wasn't a gaff like action. Calm down.

You'd be an absolute idiot if you don't think online bullying encouraging suicide and threats to kill family shouldn't be called out.

He didn't smash a bottle over his head in the street mate.

Are you really trying to paint a 100+KG ruckman sling tackling the smallest player on the ground (who just happens to be an agitator that was probably singled out for attention before the game) as being just an innocent tackle that went wrong? It was malicious, and Lycett deserves his moment in spotlight. This 'woe is me' angle he's trying to take is laughable.

Just like the Lynch sub fiasco, we are trying to be too clever, and unfortunately the blokes making the decisions just aren't smart enough.

Maybe the should focus on keeping everything simple?

What do you think a concussion is? For ****s sake, if you're going to comment at least pretend you have a shred of intelligence.

Yeah sure , our big brother born in a test tube I guess?

I'm glad AFL X cup brought so much happiness.
Good luck for the rest of the season
Youll be here next week, you cant help yourself

Pretty sure everyone on here is happy to call out any online bullying and harassment. If that person is a Crows member they should have their membership revoked. Or we could do the old Port tradition of suspending their membership while they undertake some type of 'training course'. You know, like the one the banana thrower never did. Just like that. Or we could claim they are a Geelong supporter. That seems to work as well.

Oh and for the record, every concussion is, by definition, a brain injury.

FTR It was shit act by Lycett. That's it. He cops his suspension and we move on. Nothing further required.

It was an intentional tackle designed to cause injury, and yet again nothing made of dragging him along the deck ?? Ask Danny Frawleys family how minor concussion is..... or Brad Ebert

You Port fans simply arent bright are you

He's not trying to take any angle. He publicly apologised. Which I've never seen anyone do for a sling tackle... And then went to show what footballers go through online. If you believe he shouldn't of said anything post groups of people telling him to kill himself you're part of the problem.
