This is true, but lets be clear, Eddie has:

• Sat by as host of a National TV show and watched his co-host carry on in black face. This was done in response to Nicky Winmar not attending on the night. That is the same Winmar that famously pointed to his skin after being racially abused by Collingwood supporters. Remember that these shows have production meetings that Eddie 100% attends.
• Said "You stole my watch" when Brereton was demonstrating how good indigenous players are at grabbing and holding on to wrists when tackling
• Suggested Goodes should be used to promote King Kong.
• As President of Collingwood oversaw a club that has now admitted to constant organisational racial bias and abuse
• Oversaw a club whose supporters were notoriously racist in their comments.

So, yeh, the word might be overused, but it is correctly applied when it comes to Eddie.

He has also described wanting to hold a female reporter underwater and publicly mocked a disabled person.

What Eddie has shown us is that carefully scripted speeches don't reveal the real person - off the cuff comments however, do expose the truth of who he is at heart.

I would say in general it is in poor taste. But he's talking to an all male group about holding a womans head underwater while they take turns 'bombing her'. If you can't see how poor that is, I don't know what to say.

I will say that as a reporter I've lost all respect for Caro. She sold out some time ago.

The Winmar stuff is horrendous I agree, the George Floyd stuff is a touchy one as no one deserves to die..... But you can't argue that a guy with his record is a beacon of society.

I was replying to a comment. Everyone said how wonderful George was.... But he had a lengthy record. Sam merely stated he wasn't a great bloke.
