I will never forget when i was young going to watch port v sturt at footy park back in the mid 80's and big tough guy Russell Johnston king hit Carl Dilena who was half his size. It set tge tone for hating that sh1thole club from then on

The only way they could win. Creed my fat aunt - they were thugs. Which is why they struggled in the AFL even under Cahill

I come from a family of rabid Sturt supporters. Bashing Port is part of my heritage.

That was the real Port though.

This plastic 80's love song singing scarf holding Chinese visiting hipster bandwagoners are the furthest thing from the Port we all loathed growing up.

Could you imagine Fos putting up with the shit their supporters lap up these days, its comical how they bleat about their heritage but they can't see how they are just a plastic cut out of the once great club they were.

One flag in 25 years playing in a real comp, that's all you need to know how far removed they are from being the real Port Adelaide.

At our home showdown I want a guard of honour with David Brown, Scott Hodges, Darren Smith, Simon Tregenza and the sons of our inaugural coach wearing the hoops clapping our boys onto the ground. Heritage and all that.

Attention AFC

I’m all for strategic acts of sticking it up Port, but they have to be exactly that - strategic.

Making a fuss over them wearing that guernsey necessarily attaches meaning and value to that very guernsey. The reality is that guernsey means nothing to anybody other than them. It’s not the prestigious world-famous piece of sporting attire they make it out to be. Nobody outside SA would even recognize what that ******* thing is.

Let them wear it, and beat them repeatedly in it, is the answer to this.
I’d rather beat their black aqua and white ‘V’ AFL guernsey. There’s no prestige in beating their SANFL guernsey. As you’ve pointed out, it’s only important to them.

We could debut Borlase and get Greg Anderson to present his guernsey too.

You want Kane Cornes clapping your players onto the ground?

Forgetting Andrew McLeod, Troy Bond and Scott Thompson aren't you?

Edit: Add Abernathy in there as well.

I would be debuting him in the Port home Showdown and doing the presentation out on the ground. With Darryl giving him the Guernsey dressed in a Crows Guernsey, Scarf and Beanie.

and don't forget the blond CHF that was with us very early on

edit..my bad, he has already been covered above

Doreen 🤣🤣🤣

Back in the day even the Port supporters used to make jokes about him, pretty sure the Doreen nickname originated from Port supporters.

From memory he had one decent season (I think it was 1989) and the rest he was fairly mediocre.
