I never understand this like at Subi over here, maybe don't move in next door to a sports stadium if you don't like it.
I go with the idea that if you lived there before there facility/stadium etc was built, then yep you have a right to complain

But if it was already there when you decided to buy/move to the area then **** off

There's a pub in Geelong that had an outdoor beer garden and decade or so ago a couple of residential towers were built on the land next door/within closer vicinity

A couple of years back (pre-covid like 2019), the head of the body corporate or some such dick put in a noise complaint to the council about the beer garden and ultimately had the beer garden section closed because it was apparently not an approved part of the venue. Here's the kicker

The one who complained - he's the former owner of said pub, either built the beer garden or at the very least made use of it as an outdoor section of the venue while he owned it and would have sold the business with that was a feature

What an absolute dickhead, not sure the residents/especially him had too much pubic support at the time of the fight

Damn - the NRL taking no sh*t

Yesterday it was the NRL taking action, today it's the police & club:

*All players were also fined $1,000 by police and a further undisclosed amount by the Dragons

The St George Illawarra Dragons have terminated the contract of prop Paul Vaughan for his breach of NRL biosecurity guidelines, and handed out more fines to the 12 teammates he hosted at his house on the weekend...

...Dragons coach Anthony Griffin revealed in a Tuesday press conference that Vaughan in fact had "two prior breaches that included COVID-related issues", but neither he or chief executive Ryan Webb elaborated further on what that second prior offence was.
