Saw it asked a couple pages back but didn't see an answer;

May versus Daniel?

May. BE is like 0, will gain $40k or something. Averaging ~100 if you remove the KO game

Why?
Boak is a top 8 mid easily

Just don't like that Port said Boak has been carrying that quad injury. He is nearly 33, plenty of durable players have fallen off a cliff injury wise late in their careers. Even if he misses a few games more with it later on vs another premo who doesn't then it's a bad pick because those weeks you play a rookie.

Plus I think his average is inflated right now. He has never gone above 110. But out of the two Boak is the better choice.

lyons (117k left) vs houston vs bowes vs shai bolton vs whitfield vs mills

Could you show a pic of your team? All good selections but in a bunch of different positions. Prioritize whichever one strengthens your weakest line by removing a rookie.

Def wise it would be Mills/Bowes/Houston for me atm. Wait on Whitfield, will drop in price.

Boak v jelly.
Can’t get a feel of what’s safer.
Jelly to turn it on after a slow start(and no injuries) or boak to come back and do what he does. Concerned over his missed game.
Value sits with jelly but his numbers haven’t been great.
Is Whitfield helping him?....maybe

Boak is certainly safer, but both also have inherent risks. With Boak Port will comfortably make top 4 so he could easily be rested for a game here and there if his injury flares back up which is killer.

Wait on Jelly, never know when the GWS magnets shift again.

theres lots of considerations. obviously i cut chapman and it leaves me a huge stack of money to spend, but is it wise to get people like lyons or a better idea to save money and go for people like the others mentioned above which perhaps could accelerate the rate at which i upgrade my team and mitigate the slight risk of not getting to full premo. mills has a horrible bye but seems a good price atm and very safe. bowes has dropped off since round 4 in terms of his kicks numbers and scoring too but obviously good price great bye. houston has more upside and cheaper than bowes but is he hurt still? and they like to change his role. shai bolton is perhaps the most ideal if he works out as a pick because it gives me 1-2 more weeks to look at bowes and houston (and whitfield). another aspect of getting a defender or mid this week is its the last one i can get one before having to bench people like frederick or jordon getting the next one. shai bolton low BE too. i suppose its also worth mentioning marshall, him and mills are the only round 14 bye players who tempt me.

the below team is after trading rowe to frederick and swinging a few players.

First of all, really nice team. One of, if not the best I've seen.

your concerns with Bowes and Houston are valid, ones partially injured and one's just been solid if unspectacular since the early rounds.

I'd trust your gut on this one, Lyons would make your midfield even more stacked, if you think you can bring him in and not negatively affect your future upgrades too much then bring him in.

I would lean towards a cheaper player though like Bolton who you mentioned, as having 100+k in the bank will make it easier to bring in someone like Dusty in a round or 2 for a bad rookie, rather than culling someone like Warner who could survive until the byes.

essentially its...

A get lyons this week

B get bolton in allowing me another look or 2 at bowes and particularly houston (and whitfield)

C get bowes or houston allowing me another look at forward options

you are right, warner could be ideal to upgrade in round 14 maybe paired with someone like jordon.

Who averages more from now til seasons end?

Caleb Daniel vs Tom Atkins

Atkins is a 85-90 average player. Daniel will average more than that how much who knows but he could go 100 average for the rest of the season.

Who would you rather end up with in your completed Def/Fwd line?

I'm thinking Daniel. Could go back to his SP seagul status. Atkins is Atkins. Only thing is if you don't have enough of the premium gulls like Ridley, Stewart, Lloyd etc... You might skip Daniel.
