"At this point we're really comfortable with Pick 2. We'd be loath to move back too far, as the genesis of the pick is the last first rounder we got for Jeremy Cameron."PLAYERCARDSTART5Jeremy Cameron

Richmond will probably pound their chests and "play hard ball" for a day or 2...My guess is it’ll be one of the first trades done.. I can’t see either team trying to hold out, we might even see a pick swap. But it’ll get done quickly.
You forgot, Heil Gill.TRANSLATION: "Like all our other trades, we got an elite player for free that we then turned into free draft picks that we'll then turn into more free draft picks. We plan to keep riding this self-regenerating free talent gravy train forever."
To be fair any other side could have done that shit trade with collingwood to get their 2021 first.TRANSLATION: "Like all our other trades, we got an elite player for free that we then turned into free draft picks that we'll then turn into more free draft picks. We plan to keep riding this self-regenerating free talent gravy train forever."

It would be a good way to hold a list spot for the mid season draft.Wonder if the AFL would call BS if he came out and just said hey I'm coaching but we're trying to get around the soft cap.
Hence all the talk about him saying that he'll still be open to play etc.

Delist Lynch at that point.
Keep him on as a coach.
We get 6months of cover from him.
And he can keep playing VFL after his delisting.
This im not sure of.Good in theory, but what happens to his salary? Can you delist a player mid year to clear a list spot?
Only if they “retire” we wouldn’t have to payGood in theory, but what happens to his salary? Can you delist a player mid year to clear a list spot?

I know you can put them on a long term injury list.
Or they can retire.
Both work.
Hopefully we can convince him to stayA bit disappointed we’re not keeping Froggy tbh. By the sounds of things the compo pick won’t be flash.
band 2 and 3 is pick 20ishA bit disappointed we’re not keeping Froggy tbh. By the sounds of things the compo pick won’t be flash.
The reported lack of suitors is what worries me. If a contract isn’t big $, which it probably won’t be, would we be better off keeping him than getting a band 5 pick? I think so. He’s an underrated clubman around here.band 2 and 3 is pick 20ish
band 4 and 5 is pick 40ish
He is the right age, He should net us something decent.
I hope so too tz. Perhaps we were happy to let him explore options with the expectation there was more interest in him than there has ended up being. It seems like the well is dry so I’d hope both parties consider a short-term deal to come back.Hopefully we can convince him to stay
And point to lack of strong suitors that he be better off here then taking a chance elsewhere
His value suffers from being a defensive player in a shit team.I hope so too tz. He wouldn't be nominating if there was zero interest. Must have some indication that someone wants him.Doesn’t appear he’s all that highly rated in AFL circles in general if the lack of interest is true.
