56 netted us Eddie ford 36 Lazzaro 40 something spicer So plenty value there if ya know what u looking forI’m not sure what people are expecting out of 42 and 47
agreed, but that's the art of it; to give Melbourne their due, their points based trading strategy has led the industryHad similar discussions on the Richmond board. But unless you have players clubs are bidding on, points are fairly irrelevant

That was more GC’s fault.I’m more upset over that pick 19 fu** up tbh
The amount of carry on you’d we gave up two top 10 picks for CCJ. We punted a future second and got back some shrapnel for a bloke we think will be a 10 year player.

Break it down.
Future 4th for Tarrant.
40 for 42 whatever.
CCJ and 47 for a future 2nd.
Is it really meltable?
If it makes you feel any better I’d always choose you xxOh fu** you
It does , thank youIf it makes you feel any better I’d always choose you xx
If we leave him forward, he will eventually leave. I thought that was fairly simple to understand. Clubs will offer him a midfield spot.
because in all seriousness (and respect) that's not how the industry works. This idea that recruiting teams lie awake at night thinking about how they're going to sexually abuse the opposition is a figment of BF imagination. It's a closed industry; people know each other, lots played on the same teams as each other but now find themselves a couple of years down the track that they're working for different clubs, but they still say at least g'day and pick up the phone when it rings. That cultural dynamic is reflected in the fact that after all the posturing, at the end of the day most things end in a trade (ie, they are voluntarily to agreed between the two parties). The number of times things break down completely and end up in some sort of dispute via the PSD you can count on the fingers of one hand...whynotboth.gif
I’m still needing someone to help me here. Our starting offer was a future 4th? We ended up giving them future 2nd plus pick 40 this year for loose change in return when we had PSD at our disposal….. I know I need to move on but just struggling with Luff and Brady’s strategy here. Especially when it was only a few days ago that Luff got onto trade radio and sounded all tough and no nonsense about the worth of ruckman/forwards (hell we had the Nankervis trade as the perfect blueprint). Obviously there is a master plan waiting to be unveiled here.

I’m drinking myself to sleepOk I've calmed down a bit.
I was happy for CCJ+Taz for 38 to be done in the first 10 minutes of Trade week. "Points-wise" that's pretty much what happened.
I still don't think the points value reflects the true comparison of what you get for the picks, but no point melting when we don't know what's going to happen with those picks yet anyway.
I will sleep tonight after all. Go Roos.
Not actually having to dealcan you just help me by explaining what you think that position was?
Yep on the surface it looks this way. But who knows what happened behind closed doors. Maybe CCJ/management refused the PSD - managers have other players on their books and this can impact future dealings. Also, maybe some plans for 42 and 47 in the works. It easy to go all guns blazing but rarely the best option - burning bridges always bites back.Rawlings and luff are frauds anyone could of negotiated this deal but they did they royally shafted us. Dodo has the stigma of being hard to deal with and I’d rather that then clubs know it’s going to be hard work a future second for some bloke that’s played 9 games not even close to proven bloody hell what a disaster. There just my thoughts I’ll get over it but we have really weakened our draft hand next year when rebuilding confirms my thoughts on Rawlings inept at what he does.
