Bobby Hill? I don’t completely hate it but it’s a punt skilled wildly inconsistent. Happy either way provided we don’t drop a huge amount

Horne showing he is an elite big game/finals player
vs just elite.
Is what would have swayed us I think.
Its like the difference between say a Pendles vs Dusty.
Both excellent. But one can lift there game when needed.
Pendles is a pretty good big game player to be fair.. The bloke has carried that mob for 15 years.

Dusty is an absolute freak of nature..

It will be interesting to see how Dusty comes back. I'm no doctor, but an injury to an internal organ has to be on the serious side of things, so a return to his previous lofty heights will fair journey you'd think

Watch a bit of CCJ clips last night. I’m better now. Think we could’ve got him cheaper but we have him now.

I want him wearing #27 and eventually require the Coleman Medal be renamed the Coleman-Jones Medal

Interesting the amount of people trashing on Bobby Hill, we don’t even know if we’re in for him but he’s a 21 year old small forward who is fast and can mark overhead, the other parts of his game will continue to develop. If he’s not too expensive picks wise then it’d be a good pick up. Not a massive amount of small forwards in the draft and Stengle probably off to Geelong. That all being said, Hill just screams an * move.

He is absolutely not a small forward.

He is a half forward/winger, there is a material difference.

He can have whatever number is free AFTER JHF picks his first.... :D

A future 3rd might get it done.

Like most of GWS kids, he’s probably on a decent wedge.
Can we trade that after trading the future second

Hill turned a bit of a corner this year. GWS fans are a bit dirty at the prospect of losing him.

Kicked a goal in all but 2 of the last 11 games.

Depends on cost obviously.

Wondering if we could work Xerri and into it, with picks going to GWS.
I call bullshit on the bolded bit.

Cool thanks.. interested in seeing this play out

Not quite sure how we get him ….
He’s an original 2nd rounder mid 20s pick. Probably still worth that & Giants would not want anything less for a 1 year to go contracted player (even if he’s wanting to come to Victoria)
We don’t want to depart with our pick 20 , our next is in the 40’s & we’ve already given away our 2nd rounder for 2022. So can’t see this happening for us …. Unless we throw in Froggy ?!

Would 42 and 47 do ? Probably a bit light

It might do in a trade with Xerri, also sending that pick to GWS.

I think the sticking point here is also his salary...
Why’s that, I mean we were keen to absorb Darcy McPhersons wage, so there’d be space there perhaps use his salary as a prepayment on an extension at less $

Surprised we are interested in Hill, he's not from the 2017 draft. ;)

Maybe we could get him cheap by taking on a salary they don't want to free them up for Lobb (don't know why they want him back though).

I reckon 42 is about right

I’m not massive on Hill (due to reasons mentioned, don’t think he’s a traditional small forward, don’t think he will bring the elite pressure that we need in the forward half).

That said, I’d expect GWS to want more then a pick (or two) in the 40’s & I think they’ll get it. That said, I didn’t think we’d trade a 2nd rounder for CCJ so what do I know.

If it were my call I’d take Stengel before him - just seems far more natural as a small forward.
