Would he be willing to be a backup/reserve player at this stage of his career? I'm not sure that he is any more than that mind you, but when you've been in teh system this long surely you look for a team where you might have a chance to be first choice.

You'd think Hawthorn might be one of those sorts of teams, but maybe not from this report.

He's played close to a hundred games and hasn't cemented his position on an AFL list. I think he sits somewhere between state level and AFL level

Has anyone got any idea/insights on why the Lions have not announced list adjustments yet - is it perhaps a case of trying to negotiate some trades behind the scenes for players such as Joyce and Ballendan or is it dependent on who is available to trade in, i.e. someone like Casboult? With exit interviews done, I imagine the players at risk would know what is happening?

Might be waiting to see if there any departures during the trade period.

May be we expect someone contracted to exit during trade window.

That could result in us keeping the current ones who deserve another year like Joyce for example.

Certainly think a pure ruck backup is a better use of money & a spot compared to a forward who can pinch hit.
He toweled up Oscar in a game against us earlier this year or was it last? Can’t remember.
But anyway, I much prefer him over Casboult.

Anyone able to copy and paste?
Wouldnt mind this guy, think he is alright, would prefer him over the others.

So Fort another player being thrown around as a possibility.
Did not consider him as he is contracted and Geelong really need a pure ruck in my opinion
They may think he is not able to do that job
As a back up to Oscar someone like him would be fine
Who knows Fagan may go back to two ruck structure next year
Fort probably cost us a late pick or pick swap and take over his existing contract. Most likely make it a two year deal
At least he is another being mentioned so we have something to discuss until trade week actually happens

If we get Fort I'd let Lane go and look at rookieing a mature KPF like McBean or Hammelmann
Depends how good Lane is, which I have no idea. Fort can't get a decent run at Geelong whom don't have a great ruck division. Buyer beware I reckon. I guess he is more for a couple of games if Big O goes down. Don't think Fort will help if we lose Big O for the season. But then can't we cover the Big O for a couple of games with what we have?
