Thought Lynch was always a line ball, those games missed hurt him (it shouldn’t of)
Yes Moose, but if you apply that logic, Stewart missed four games and was chosen ahead of Sicily who had a great year ?? It's a popularity contest, nothing more imo.

Im thinking they already decided to give Hawkins the Captaincy and when Lynch made a big run home it was to late to ditch Hawkins.

How can a bloke that kicks more goals and more contested marks in less games as a full forward not get in the AA team, mind boggling?
I reckon you're right on the money. Hawkins was locked in weeks ago.

Rioli had it over Sad by miles for goals, goal assists and score involvements. Sad did a bit better for contested possessions and contested marks.

You could go either way with this pair I think but it is clear Rioli was the most damaging half back in the competition and probably should have been selected based on that, especially because he doesn’t have some huge weakness in another area.
When Vlas was kicking goals from half back he never made AA either.

Yeah but we didnt woof each time he kicked the ball to the oppo

Next years gonna be worse for woofing, word out of Geelong is their supporters are gonna start woofing for every Hawkins assist next season so the selectors don't start thinking contested marks and goals are more important than woofing.
