I think with this nomination, you've actually committed to taking them in the National Draft. So you have to call their name with your last pick if they're still available.
Yeah thats right. And we only have a small number of spots open. Where with the rookie draft we can add him to the cat B list

Speaking on SEN SA Breakfast, Keeler said he didn’t hold a grudge and instead thanked the Crows for his journey to date.

“They chose not to nominate me because they didn’t have a pick around then,” Keeler explained.

“I’m fine with that, they’ve done a lot for me as a person and a player, but I’m pretty grateful for the experience with them.”

When asked if that suggests he’s expected to go early in the draft, the 18-year-old replied: “Yeah, I guess you’re right in saying that”.

Keeler is speculated to be taken within the first two rounds of the draft, but the Crows can still draft him should he slip down the order.

However, it’s not an undesirable situation for Keeler, who says he’s looking forward to the likely move interstate.

“I’m pretty keen, personally,” he said on the chance of not getting drafted by a South Australian club.

“(There are) more bigger and better opportunities interstate, I’m pretty keen for the move.”

Keeler describes himself as a key forward that can pinch hit in the ruck, while also pointing to his agility as a key strength for a 198cm prospect.

Doesn't sound like a slider to me unless people mean small hamburgers
He might not be a slider, but I bet he could smash a heap of them.

My personal record is 2 quarter pounders, 2 Big Macs and 6 cheeseburgers. Large fries and Coke. 1 apple turnover.
Almost passed out trying 😅

You get some skinny asian dudes doing 50 + Big Macs on YouTube.

I prefer fish and chip shop hamburgers.

Not long now to see which players we are getting. NFI either.

Olli Hotton. It seems he wants to play with us.

Given he supports us -- Just lol He would love to, but doesn't say in this article. "following in his father's footsteps" is just talking about the AFL

I don't live in Melbourne and I've been there haha.

Pretty good burgers. Not world beaters and not cheap, but the train car setting is fun.

Do they sell Keeler sliders;)
It's a tray of 12.

I really hope we draft him now. I'm committing to a slider for every goal he kicks.

Ideal Prospects

Lewis Hayes:
Hayes firms as a prospect that is likely to still be on the board come Collingwood's opening selection at Pick 16 - which will be pushed back one or two places in the queue after earlier father-son bids.

An exciting tall defensive option, standing at 199cm and offering stellar intercept and disposal attributes, Hayes is in conversations as a first-round option following a strong campaign for the Eastern Ranges and at the National Championships level with Vic Metro.

In a dream scenario for the Magpies, East Perth young gun Jedd Busslinger would slide to their opening selection. Should the Magpies look for another area to improve with their earliest pick, then Josh Weddle and James Van Es are options for their pair of second-round selections that can add height to Craig McRae's rearguard.

WA duo Jed Adams and Hugh Davies, along with Allies prospect Tom McCallum, are further tall defensive options the Magpies could consider at the back end of the draft.

Jaxon Binns:
When assessing wing options that won't demand a first-round pick from the Magpies, Dandenong Stingrays' talent Jaxon Binns is placed as a valuable running option for the second night of the National Draft.

While he doesn't possess the pace seen in most natural wingmen, Binns boasts an elite aerobic capacity that sees his astute work rate last until the end of the game.

A strong wing option that can play a multitude of positions is Western Australian Ed Allan, who may fall in the first round, while Bendigo Pioneers utility Jason Gilbee could slip into the top 30.

Isaac Keeler:
The door is open for clubs to swoop on the Adelaide Next Generation Academy prospect after the Crows opted against nominating Keeler ahead of the draft.

The club's decision comes as Keeler firms as a late first-round to early second-round selection, meaning the North Adelaide ruck-forward will be out of their reach for a matching bid.

Keeler is a leading option for clubs keen on adding exciting talent that can feature as a focal point of their forward line while also pinch-hitting in the ruck. The Pies will be hopeful that Keeler slides to their second selection at Pick 25, or third at 27th overall.

SA teammate Phoenix Foster is another flexible key-position prospect the Magpies could consider at the later stages of the draft.
