Hawks seem keen on Mckenzie or Tsatas. Cats Tsatas and Clark, but maybe thats with the thought Humphry wont be there

I do wonder if clubs see inside midfield potential with Weddle

Has all the athletic attributes required, plays as a brute. Obviousily not exposed there but i do wonder if clubs think they can develop him into that role

I like Weddle, could play that Doedee role, but given his speed and endurance, could become a McIntosh type

From memory GWS gave up quite a bit for pick 15 so probably dont owe Brisbane anything

Gould and Francis can not take small forwards with genuine leg speed like Weddle can.

They probably struggle to keep up with the Darling/Gunston extremely mobile third tall forwards also.

Lack of leg speed was Goulds biggest knock.

Just my opinion but lack of leg speed is still a knock and will forever be. Just not agile enough for AFL. Has some good AFL traits but too easy to burn off on a lead and just lacking a few extra cms to be a true KPD. Tweener unfortunately

I can see us taking mckenzie ahead of clark but im not sure we would place tsatas ahead. But i think we might pretend we will take tsatas to see if another vic club will trade overs for us for 7 (assuming phillipou humphrey and mckenzie/ginbey go 4-6).
Would dogs take tsatas? I know hes good value at 11 but gee they have so many mids..i would have though busslinger would be a better fit for them

Dogs have interest in Busslinger if there it is believed he will be taken at our 1st. Of course if he isn't there it changes what we will go after, it will be best available so Tsatas would be under consideration if available

Bidding on Ashcroft at 1 isn’t a dick move, it’s where he deserves to be selected.

I kind of get the feeling we might not bid either based on Rawlings interview with Twoomey yesterday.

He had a bit of a slip of the tongue when he said “we still think we are going to be getting #1 and #2 on our draft board” or something to that effect when talking about the trade of the #1 pick and the JHF deal.

And then was a bit non comital when asked about the Ashcroft bid and said we are generally pretty honest and will bid with integrity that reflects our rankings.

I have a feeling Ashcroft might not get bid on until #4 if they do have Ashcroft at 3 behind Wardlaw and Sheezel on the board.

At least North actually need mids you can justify a bid. It’s like lst year everyone went nuts at GWS but bidding on Daicos, they bid on Darcy (who they actually needed).

Yeah I have no issue when teams bid. Who cares if there’s a bid at 4 or a bid at 1, it literally makes zero difference. If I were to guess you’ll bid at 3. Take Wardlaw at 2, then bid. Shezel at 4.
