thats why i would consider trade him now rather than lose pick 5

whatever you think of him his afl player rating is 39 out of 1000 odd players. this is not crouch at 517.

It's going to be a difficult trade period for us as it seems there will be alot of moving parts.

If Strachan is a chance of going to Sydney, there's our opening of a there way deal to get a late 1st rounder.

I'm not sure how it could play out but Sydney have two 1st rounders more in the "Rankine zone" than our pick 5.

Just saw someone else talking about Grundy going to Port like it was a matter of fact.

Are people just pulling random names out of thin air and attaching trade scenarios to them?

This is what I've heard from someone close to the source. I'm not sure if these are common knowledge on this board or not but when you're in our position anything will do this time of year.

1) Crows have approached North about JHF. North said only way they will budge is for Doedee + this years first. Crows said no way and will have another go next year when/if he's out of contract.

2) Rowe will not be on the list next year. If you can't get anything for him in a trade he will be delisted.

That is all.

Thanks, we are pretty aware of both those things, it's good to know others on our board sound like they have similar sources.

For what it's worth I'd absolutely do Doedee and our 1st for JHF

Doedee and this year's first for a contracted JHF? I highly doubt that.

The second one is expected. The frost not so much.

Most posters here would do that deal, so I expect people to start complaining .

In terms of points the Prestia trade equated to approx Pick 12

Listened to Hinkley on 5aa this week he rubbished any suggestion of Port going after a ruckman.
Reckon 7 are way off here.

Have you watched ROB at SANFL level? Comprare apples with apples.

Strachen's 2 games at AFL level - one he was quite good, the other he was smashed.

That's not to say he's not good enough, but ROB is a better ruck, despite his limitations. 5.5 HO to advantages for KS compared with 11 for ROB

Would like to see Strachen get a run of 5 games to see how he would go. Much more upside in him than ROB who I think is not going to improve much more.

my god if we said no to this years first + Doedee for JHF we are deadset fxxkheads… the club is literally full of clueless idiots if they did.

we can EASILY cover the loss of Doedee.. we just about already have with Worrell.

and Doedee has, if we are honest, had a poor year.

I would trade Doedee regardless whether it was linked to a trade or not. He still has good value and we can cover him. If we do trade him we would need to keep Frampton to play the intercepting role with Worrell. Frampton isn't a great defender (although he is improving) but he can play the intercepting role and he does have good kicking skills. I'm sure he would rather stay in Adelaide where he is settled than move interstate.
