I saw this format on the West Coast board and thought it might help understand our current list position

This data doesn't paint 2nd round picks in a good light .....what the figures do demonstrate is, very few players picked from #6 onwards make an immediate impression .....6.8 years on average to hit 50 games

Hence my mantra ......patience !

Curious, is your mantra patience for a player to get to 50 games or they should be showing something by 50 games?

Only problem there is he's a Forward that can chop out in ruck right back to his U18 days unless you're talking re-skilling him?

Think he's been playing CHB in the VFL & quite well at that. Acknowledge a huge gap between VFL & AFL however.

Was more thinking around that he would be another tall for us. Reckon we would use him somewhere. And he wouldn't cost us much.

Contracted so what's cheap?

Ratugolea is certainly very athletic so we could do worse I guess and with the probability Frampton's gone and McAsey doing bugger all to suggest he's going to have a massive turnaround at this point and possibly outta here anyhow.

And that’s exactly what they’re trying to sell him as, a reimagined Billy Frampton, without actually having locked down a position or shown any consistency in a position.

Lots of water to go under the bridge but I feel more and more that we are going to have a quiet trade and draft period

Obviously Rankine coming in, likely Butts and Strachan via upgrades in the draft so expecting maybe 2 new draftees at best - and Michanney may very well get left in the draft

Perhaps Keeler with 23 and Ryan or Verrall with a later pick and that’s about it

He's a forward/chop out ruck being tried back there now so it would seem since drafting a 205cm developing ruck Toby Conway and a 202cm ultra athletic Forward /chop out ruck Shannon Neale is likely why the talk is about he may be on the market..

I think Billy is an average player that will not get much better but if we had Geelong’s system, he’d be a star. Their set up is excellent and one thing about Billy, he is a good mark and Kick

But good players leave all clubs on their own volition, most recently Clark went to Fremantle and is playing very well this year.
