Fighting for his AFL life. If he has bottle then we will embrace it.What is Sloane on in 2023?
The risk is that you are choosing Hately over Petracca.Ok so an idea - and no doubt I will be shouted down, but thought I would see what people think because it is Friday and I am bored...but would there be any point in doing the following:
Trade to GWS our First Round Pick next year (likely to be no lower than say pick 5) for their newly acquired picks 15 and 18
Trade picks 15 and 18 to the Suns for Rankine, so equivalent to like pick 4-5 right (which is what we are giving up anyway)?
Rankine traded to us
We keep pick 5 this year and can get Phillipou.
Guess it all just depends on whether there are better prospects in next years draft right? Phillipou to me looks like exactly the type of player we need (big bodied mid), but without the go-home factor...
Please proceed to tear apart...
What sort of music do you listen to. Gives me a gauge. The risk is that you are choosing Hately over Petracca.
There is no race to making the 8. Better to take an extra year or 2 to build a team to win a flag.

On the same line but how’d that work out xBang on.
Very risky pick.
I remember Carlton picking Tom Bell thinking they had the next Koutoufides.
You arereasonbly terms.Plenty of other players not past their prime that would shift for 1 mill a year.
Alternatively a Fyfe type could be sitting at 23 and just needs the right environment to develop. Particularly in an even draft like this one with no real standouts. The risk is that you are choosing Hately over Petracca.

Wont happen because it is such an un-Adelaide thing to do.Gambling a million a year over 5 years that a sea change is all it will take to get Whitfield back to his best form is a bold move
Our list management are the worse in the entire league. Reid is a useless herbivore eating disgrace to humanity.
Wish he would just quit and * the hell off.
This is good. Well thought out and beneficial to all three parties.I love hypotheticals. Feel free to lay giant turds on this three-way trade. Looking forward to MEGA tears in the morning over a hypothetical trade for JHF...
GWS
In: 1, 23 [3815]
Out: 3, 12, 18 [4487]
AFC
In: 18, JHF [985]
Out: 5, F1, 23 [4337 assuming pick 7 value for our future first]
NM
In: 3, 5, 12, F1 [7024]
Out: 1, JHF [3000]
Reasoning
- This values JHF at 4024 draft points if you value our future pick at 7. This means they're getting the equivalent of Pick 3 + 5 on points for JHF.
- NM go to the draft with:
2022: 3, 5, 12 (remember their current second pick is 59 so a massive improvement in terms of rebuilding)
2023: 1, 7
- GWS apparently want pick 1 and they have 3, 12, 15, 18, 19!!! They would still have 1, 15, 19, 23 after this trade.
- If NM wanted a sweetener they can have McAsey and claim 5 first round picks coming in.
- Port can't compete with this trade. Nothing they could offer would be more appealing unless they gave up a player like Butters.
- GC get 18 for Rankine. A first round pick for an uncontracted player. Unders but what are they going to do about it.
Looking forward to melts in the morning![]()
Bruised liver and in hospital for 9 Days. Ain’t soft as some would say but yeah that’s a heavy tag. Out.
ACDC, five finger death punch, Trivium. You know, the classics. What sort of music do you listen to. Gives me a gauge.
FWIW Silvers said we are targeting free agents at the end of 2023.
For those with good computering skills, who are the free agents at end of 2023?

Jacob Hopper and Darcy Parish the only two mids I can see us chasing.FWIW Silvers said we are targeting free agents at the end of 2023.

If McAsey is on a rumoured $450K-$500K I'm not surprised he doesn't have a ton of suitors. Wait until that contract runs out before you take a flier on him.its very clear no one wants sholl or mcasey, crouch lets see next week.
I would prefer us to pay crouch out (if we can't trade him) and free up the list spot otherwise they will play him in the midfield all year in the SANFL preventing us from playing a younger mid in there to develop.
Alex Neale-Bullen and Bailey Williams more likely than HH, but HH could be a good play.Out of all of the RFAs/UFAs, Harrison Himmelberg is the one I would be targeting
I wonder if we would be looking for KPD rather than more midfielders?Jacob Hopper and Darcy Parish the only two mids I can see us chasing.
There's a potential great KPD in this Draft ....could be gettable at our 2nd pick too .....Barnett, 200cm +I wonder if we would be looking for KPD rather than more midfielders?
