Roo is really hurting his brand and that of the club. Riccuito's comments were Ill informed the other day and I believe will damage him financially. Fox Footy won't renew his contract after those comments imo.

I guess I'm not as concerned about an 18 year old MID because I fancy our chances on Hopper (25yo) as a FA next year, and trading in JHF (20yo).

But if GWS somehow end up with a second first rounder around 12 then I'd be offering them pick 4 for Hopper + 12. 12 for Rankine.

Cal Twomey stated today that Victorian clubs, not involved in trying to get Rankine, think Crows will get the deal done. Rankine, Rachele & Keays tearing around the forward line at the feet of Fog, Walker & Thilthorpe. I like the thought of that!!!!

Sounds good but there's no way we are getting Horne and Rankine in the same year. I believe Horne should stay at North and leave when out of contract which is in 12months. A trade then will require at least our 2023 1st and 2nd and a player I would imagine. I would be happy with Rankine, our 2022 1st used in the draft (pick 5-6) and Brennan Cox from Freo.
In order to get currency for Rankine I would trade Doedee for a 1st and send that to Gold Coast for Rankine.
In order to get currency for Cox we would probably need to trade someone like Keays. I would trade Keays to Gold Coast for a 1st and use that on Brennan Cox.

Fair dinkum you're dreaming if you think 2 contracted Adelaide players that the Gold Coast don't need and Adelaide won't trade would be put up , At least keep it real.

Fine that Roo goes, but losing a volunteer board member isn't a massive action.

He is no less a presence due to his status as a 'volunteer'

That's just minimising his influence

Everybody BUT Roo from 2017 camp is gone - him stepping away means the club can have clear air

The club has been after him for some time. We need another KPD if Butts or Murray go down. Especially if Frampton is traded and McAsey doesn't look like making it. Worrell can play Doedee's role.

I think you're confusing media talk with the club, Rendell and Kornes aren't the club.
