According to WW logic - Nicks has had a chance to assess the squad and has found them to his liking

It is a typical AFC squad. A best 25 that can challenge for the bottom of the 8 with no discernible difference in quality between 18-25 and 26-32. With the usual group of developing mids too good for the SANFL that are awaiting injury or retirement of the favoured 4. Noting that the first replacements for midfield duties comes from the existing 22.

And people thought rebuilds took a while and patience was required. Ours was done prior to the end of 2021.

Soldo.

Maybe GC might be interested in Elliott Himmelberg.
LOL Hopper wants to come home says Dimma ...shows how much he knows about Hopper's pre AFL history, apart from the 2 years he spent schooling in Ballarat and playing for St.Pats in the Herald Sun Shield school Comp and the GWV Rebels in the then TAC Cup he's spent his upbring in the NSW Riverina district/Leeton.

No wonder Dimma has said ‘it made him uncomfortable’ having the meeting with Hopper, considering he’s still under contract for another year (as opposed to out of contract this year)

How incredibly disrespectful to GWS

Sure there’s stuff that goes behind the scenes, but to have a player tour your facilities whilst under contract is brazen, and GWS should follow up pronto. Not a good look at all.

He doesn't care and neither do the media. He's playing the sympathy card.

GWS should say they aren't trading him under any circumstances.

Look Dimma is clearly taking a huge risk here by coming out in public and confirming the meeting, but by doing so it adds a sort of legitimacy to it in a weird way. They're clearly getting on the front foot, and if the end result is a bit of public/GWS discontent, but it comes with the addition of Hopper when they're in their Premiership window, why would they care?

If they're looking at getting both Hopper AND Taranto then someone seriously need to be looking at their books

Or Dusty is leaving.
Dusty is not leaving, $1.3 mill for each of the next two seasons, getting soft tissue injuries, head doesn't seem to be into footy any more. No other club is interested.

Richmond are dramatically reducing the contracts on offer for Cotchin and Reiwalt, had a couple of retirements, they have cap space now or will make space offloading fringe players to fit Taranto and Hopper.

No comments on Liam Stocker?

Rioli was taking recreational drugs so I wouldn't call that performance enhancing. Would definitely take him at the club.
Not a chance for me ...... has a poor track record of fitness and reports

Now he has a secure Contract ....he'd be the classic player to put the clubs back in the bag

In the right environment I reckon he can be as good as Stengle. His contract would have drug clauses where he can be sacked on the spot if he stuffs up. He definitely needs to lose some weight and get fitter but the guy can play.

Can't see whose spot he would take.

On the list? Ben Davis.

Local, 193cm, offers a point of difference, pushed out of a top 4 squad, only 20, has much more development potential than Davis heading for his 7th season as a 9 game half back flanker.

The only question is whether or not there's a better development option over Poulter.

Why risk it though ? .....of course you can sack him, but he's still taking a list spot away from another

Could end up another Stengle, whereby you have to go hunting again for a small fwd
