I saw this format on the West Coast board and thought it might help understand our current list position

I could almost be talked into picking him up just to stick it to SOS one last time

Was that the infamous 'SOS slammed the laptop shut and stormed out' trade/pick swap ? LOL

I think this was "the fist pump under the table when SOS got the 6th best player in the draft with the 19th pick" moment

Trade essentially ended up (after various other trades) as;

Mcasey + Pedlar
for
Stocker + Philp
(edit: Carlton also got Brodie Kemp, who's not looking likely either)

Basically down to Pedlar, other 3 are duds. Philp been injured last two years in fairness to him.

Stocker delisted? Probably not for us unless he gets to the rookie draft, but I’d love to see him actually utilised as a midfielder

Is there more to this, than just football ? ......there was a lot of positivity about Stocker early season by CARL

Collier-Dawkins will be delisted soon .....couldn't get a game at RICH or GC after being traded there this year

Understand the argument .....agree, re ROI ....also I could counteract with Laird being a Rookie choice

My argument was in comparing a 3 year player in a rebuilding team, to a 5 year player, in a top team ... with twice as many games under Ross's belt over Ned

Does RCD know he was traded to GC? Played for Richmond in the VFL all year.

Outside of the top 7 plus a few others, the 2018 draft has been pretty disappointing overall. Some major busts in the first round.

seriously ours actually arent that bad. theres only been a couple of howlers eg gallucci

mcasey issue is not talent something else going on there

For those that need a refresher - we gave pick 19 to Carlton who wanted Stocker, we got Carlton's 2019 first that amazingly turned out to be pick 3, became pick 4 with the GC PP, we traded it to GWS for pick 6, then wasted it on McAsey who's a bust. Lose/lose trade!

For those wringing their hands about giving pick 6 for Rankine - don't, draft picks are over rated against proven high talent. It's what Clarko successfully did at the Hawks to win those flags.

Of course you didn't mention the fact that the pick we secured Luke Pedlar with was also in those transactions?
