I 100% agree. As soon as I hear this corporate garbage come out of a prospective employees mouth, they are gone.In all seriousness, whilst I do value trying to communicate well, I think AFL people who communicate like this are showing a weakness.
Innovation tends to come from people willing to, to a degree, go their own way. People who go with the latest communication language trendiness and groupthink indicate, to me at least, they'll be a lot less likely to be innovators.
No he activated ancillary mid-career learning opportunities to drive maximum synergy creation.
Excellent pointThere's being complete in terms of players, and being complete in terms of the development of those players. Remember that very few of our players have yet reached 50 games. The players themselves are very much a work in progress, not just the playing list as a whole.
There seems to be a lot of excitement based on Turners game in the SANFL which Wigg dominated and Young just won the Margery. Knight has been dominating last couple of years and Wilson for longer. Moore has been a solid SANFL mid.
Looking at the form of middle aged SANFL midfielders and thinking that form will translate to the AFL is highly optimistic and borderline delusional.

It’s fair to say he’s been underwhelming on his games for us apart from the 2-3 including the weekend when he was very good.Besides where he sits in the grand scheme of things, what are the knocks on his game?
From the little I've seen of him he looks to have quite a decent leg(better than a lot om our list), reads the ball wall from stoppage and works through traffic well.
So is he slow, poor under pressure etc?
From all I'd read on here I was expecting far worse than what my eyes were telling me,so I'm curious if it's just that he hasn't been selected in the senior side yet, he's been crap in every game other than the 2-3 I've seen, or that he just has major glaring deficiencies that mean he will never be an AFL player?
If we lose a 27 YO Crouch and question marks on a 30+ Sloane .....doesn't it make sense to have another mature midfielder like Turner at the readyMy point is the form of middle aged mids in the SANFL is meaningless when assessing whether they will make AFL footballers and have current examples.
I would have preferred we identified a young talent and went that route rather than be seduced by some good SANFL games
Skippos Jeffcrowe ......doesn't appear SAINTS are concerned enough to lock Hunter Clark away longterm
YOUNG SAINT ON CLUB RADARS
ST KILDA midfielder Hunter Clark is expected to be a trade target of clubs this off-season despite having a year to run on his contract at the club.
Clark is signed to the Saints until the end of 2023 but has battled an injury-hit past two seasons, playing eight games this year and 13 last season.
His 2021 campaign was interrupted with a broken jaw that came after he was on the end of a contentious bump from Adelaide's David Mackay, while this season he suffered a shoulder injury in the pre-season and then a broken nose mid-year after a heavy clash in round 16.
The question is ....why would Hunter Clark be looking for a trade ? ....and why hasn't St Kilda locked him away, past 2023I don't see any evidence here that it's St Kilda who want to trade him and not Hunter himself looking.
Crouch and Sloane were in effect a non-event for the last part of the season and Sloane for longer. If we lose a 27 YO Crouch and question marks on a 30+ Sloane .....doesn't it make sense to have another mature midfielder like Turner at the ready
I can understand the logic in the thinking
Past 2023? There would be plenty of players with only one year on their contract, he’s not out of contract now.The question is ....why would Hunter Clark be looking for a trade ? ....and why hasn't St Kilda locked him away, past 2023
They're still young and inexperienced .....still need to have some experience in the side ...albeit mental & physicalCrouch and Sloane were in effect a non-event for the last part of the season and Sloane for longer.
We’ve got a plethora of young mids we need to develop and we shouldn’t waste their development time by being safe.
Berry showed he can step up and is an AFL quality mid. Soligo is going to be a gun mid. Hately can play as an inside mid and then there’s Taylor and Pedlar we need to get in there. Rankine and Rachelle need midfield minutes.
My argument is Hunter Clark is not a star player many believe he is .....clubs don't let star players go into their final contract year, without attempting to lock em inPast 2023? There would be plenty of players with only one year on their contract, he’s not out of contract now.
We haven't locked in Fog or Doedee either. Just sayin'.My argument is Hunter Clark is not a star player many believe he is .....clubs don't let star players go into their final contract year, without attempting to lock em in
Fair point !!We haven't locked in Fog or Doedee either. Just sayin'.
LOLThe question is ....why would Hunter Clark be looking for a trade ? ....and why hasn't St Kilda locked him away, past 2023
Hey ....it's boring time ....gotta discuss somethingLOL
AFL media tossing some names around and you take it as Hunter Clark looking for a trade....

There's a reasonably chance that several of those players will exit in 2022, reducing the stress on 2023 draft capital.Don't want to give away too much 2023 draft capital when we will likely have a fair turnover of players.
Sloane, Seedsman, Brown and potentially Tex retiring.
McPherson, McAsey and Crouch delisted.
Doedee possibly leaving as a FA.
Worrell, Sholl and Strachan possibly looking for more gametime.
We don't want to be heading into that draft with 8-9 list spots free and only a small draft hand.
We really should be moving several of these guys on now.
Good, means we can sell high
I’m hoping Taylor and Pedlar are right in the mix for R1 next season. If we lose a 27 YO Crouch and question marks on a 30+ Sloane .....doesn't it make sense to have another mature midfielder like Turner at the ready
I can understand the logic in the thinking
We all know Sloane will be a lock for Round 1 first CBA. Even if he was unable to stand...Cant see Sloane being a R1 lock. Surely at his age and coming off a knee he will need to come back through the SANFL.
Fog will just sign when needed. We haven't locked in Fog or Doedee either. Just sayin'.
I know… I’m trying my best to will the “sloane back via the sanfl” over the line..We all know Sloane will be a lock for Round 1 first CBA. Even if he was unable to stand...
Agreed. The honeymoon is well and truly over - we need to start placing some tangible expecations on the playing and coaching group.I’m glad that’s what he said, they need to be applying some expectation on the coaching group and players.
He won’t have senior players to fall back on, Crouch should be gone which leaves only Brown as a possible so it’s not like Nicks can go to the senior player in leu of development.
