I'm not depressed about him, it's the reasons that we've provided, which we know to be true. We've got our list thsts taking us forward, just a small upgrade here, loose defender there and we're home. ******* awesome.

Rowey made note of it last week, we’ve got players contracted we don’t want on the list.

How many players have we had to pay out or pay to play elsewhere just to move them on?

2 years for Crouch when you know you’re going to be tight for list spots is just dumb and incompetent.

Then there are the players we’ve moved on which we’ve burnt and received shit trade value.

This needs to be the year we move on Reid and Hamish, enough is enough.

2 x 2nd rounders and M.Crouch = NSM

To be fair that’s prob unders and saints say no
But if OOC next year and port having no 1st rounders being all in JHF

How about:
5 and '23 1st for Rankine, Hollands and one of their seconds.

2 x 2nd rounders and M Crouch for NWM

Stating the obvious 2018 and 2019 were disasters.
While list management has been awful and Reid and Hamish have butchered a good list with the help of Burton and Hass to bring in Dawson, Rachele, Soligo and Taylor is more than a small upgrade.

If they can split our pick and add steak knives and land Rankine and can get Phillipou and hang onto next year's 1st I'd suggest it's far from a small upgrade.

2023 draft mid with 1st.
Get someone like Redman as a RFA
Trade in missing pieces

2024 Cox RFA,
Hope Welsh becomes an absolute gun F/S
Trade hard for a ruckmen and other missing pieces.

It will take 2-4 years longer than it should've due to incompetence. The challenge for these clowns will be not to screw it up from here on in.

Agreed, why two for Murphy? No one else was going to snap him up. Seems like we lost all flexibility.

They are hamstrung by their own mistakes.

I'm a Strauchan fan, and am happy for him to be our backup, but he's not going to be even a B grade ruckman at AFL level. It's not like he's 22 years old. He's 27 in 2 days!
We don't even have a developing young ruck.

I'm a Strauchan fan, and am happy for him to be our backup, but he's not going to be even a B grade ruckman at AFL level. It's not like he's 22 years old. He's 27 in 2 days!
We don't even have a developing young ruck.

It's crazy how much draft currency we've invested in small forwards whilst completely ignoring the ruck and midfield.

I like Strachan too as he can actually kick. I agree though, I think he's too lightly framed to make it as a ruck in the AFL. There is no point in having decent skills and an okay ground ball game if you're going to be getting smashed in the ruck contest.

Adelaide continually refusing to draft a development ruck is something I don't understand. They clearly don't rate Strachan and to call O'Brien "blue collar" would be generous.

A lot of draft collateral needed to be assured we'd get him....Will Verrall is the one for us, low risk with big upside if his development goes well.
