Brown isn’t practicing.
Fant is still recovering from a knee injury.

They may be on the roster but they aren’t playing at the moment.

I think Brown isn't practicing coz they want to protect him with such horrible depth behind him. Follow quite a few Jets fans and Jets media and havent heard anything about Fant missing week 1. I expect both to play.

Always some funny results week 1.

I've tipped the Steelers to beat the Bengals, not because I think they will win but because there will be a few upsets.
Correct. Last year we played the Bills week 1(In Buffalo). Fully expected us to get walloped-Even had money on the Bills. Only for our defence to really stand up and for us to win a low scoring game. The Bengals both times last year blew us away-24-10 & 41-10. We aren’t winning a shoot out with them, it will have to be much the same as week 1 last season where our defence comes to play and we shut them down

Should have just got an agent. This seems unbelievably dumb.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Lamar will end up on a couple of Franchise Tags before anything long term is agreed

Is there a standout certain winner in week 1? I'm in a knock out comp and I'm usually finished in the first week.

Leaning towards Colts over Texans or Broncos over Seattle but they're both road teams.

9ers over Bears would be my guess.

The 49ers DL v the Bears OL could be the biggest mismatch of the entire season

New year, some things still the same

Pittspuke sucks

:)

Lets not forget these were the same Packers fans saying the Rams would do nothing with Stafford last year coz he'd never won a playoff game.

I never said that. I probably said that they won't win because he's not thaaat great. But he got them the win didn't he.

However Stafford has always put up solid stats, Hurts hasn't done that yet mate which is why I think it's okay to question him and the team. We've both seen that average QB play can lead a team to playoff victories though.

Whoever the best team is that is playing the Bears, Jets or Falcons would be my bet for any given week

My predictions are
Detroit will win Week 1

Also Dallas to win big over the Buccs

Joey B to throw 250+ yards and 3+ touchdowns

Josh Carr and DeVante Adams to connect on more occasions than any other QB and receiver in the league week 1

PFN's Aaron Wilson reports that George Kittle (groin) is unlikely to play in Week 1.

Wilson cites two sources as saying that Kittle's injury is "not good," that it would be optimal for Kittle to rest for a week or two, and that the injury would limit his top-end speed. We'll see if the injury report matches how dire this sounds, but Kittle managers should be scouring for alternatives. If it is indeed a Grade 2 strain, it wouldn't be surprising to see Kittle sit out Week 1.

NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports that Ken Walker (hernia) is "highly likely" to miss Week 1's game against the Broncos.

Walker did not participate in practice on Tuesday, and this report seems to set up that he will miss today's practice as well. Seattle's main back against Denver in Week 1 will likely be Rashaad Penny. Penny enters Week 1 16th in RotoPat's rankings and 30th in Matthew Berry's ranks. The volume should be good, but the Broncos are heavy road favorites.

Allen Lazard (ankle) did not practice Thursday.

Matt LaFleur told assembled reporters that "they'd see" if Lazard participated in practice Thursday. He didn't. Lazard's status for Week 1 will depend on what kind of work he can get in on Friday, but managers should be making contingency plans. Sammy Watkins and Romeo Doubs would appear to be in line for extra targets if Lazard doesn't suit up.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports J.K. Dobbins' (knee) Week 1 status is expected to be decided Friday.

The word comes from coach John Harbaugh himself. Reading between the lines, Dobbins has seemed on the wrong side of questionable, and the injury report dictates that the Ravens are honest on Friday. We would not be surprised to see an early rule out. In that event, Rapsheet has reported that Kenyan Drake is expected to be the "de facto starter" whenever Dobbins misses time, but we know Mike Davis will also have something to say about that. Stay tuned.

Ravens OC Greg Roman said that Baltimore would go with the "hot hand" at running back in Week 1.

He complimented the work that Kenyan Drake has done since coming over as well. Even if JK Dobbins is cleared, it seems likely he won't play enough snaps to do more than be a touchdown-or-bust FLEX play. Roman noted he has a role for every back on the roster, and invoking the "hot hand" addendum here makes it harder to want to start any of Baltimore's backs, even in what could be a plum matchup against the Jet
