it was #49. Took a bunch of good intercept marks. Played on Charlie in the intraclub game at Morningside and Charlie couldn't get a kick. Looks a decent prospect. Is it Hille?

Bruce Reville played in 49 last year, was an Academy boy. Must be 20-21 by now.
Not sure if he is wearing that number this year though.

Nah it wasn't Reville, he didn't play - I saw him walking around the boundary on the day in civvies

There is something about this latest narrative with Will Ashcroft that doesn't make sense...especially after training with us over the summer break and where we are positioned at present. If he goes to the draft, he is not even certain of staying in Victoria anyway and by the nature of the draft, he will end up with one of the cellar-dweller teams. On face value, you would think he and his family would be very happy to go to the Lions so I am a bit confused by his current positioning.

I'd suggest Ashcroft is hedging his bets and will wait to see what the ladder looks like and who has waht draft pick.

If 4 victorian clubs hold picks 1-4, he may well nominate. If a couple of clubs (Adelaide and West Coast) hold picks in the Top 4, then he might take the safety of the Lions.

Don't think he is a sure thing to go #1, but would have to be a certain Top 5 pick at this point
