There's no chance we are getting 28 for McAsey. Pick 45-50 is as good as we will get for him imo. If we get anything under 40 that's a win. The fact we haven't played him for years illustrates that he would be likely delisted when ooc. It's a smart move getting something for him instead of nothing when ooc.

Our losses were our own fault... gibbs we screwed up on though. Gov trade would have been an easy win if we didn't pick mchenry. Mcadam had the same output as gov ever did.

I think the state of our defence is largely down to who is playing there and not particularly convinced we'd get better results from a different coach. We have a genuine lack of A grade talent down there which is why we've stuck Dawson down there most of the year.

Is Burns our defencive coach?

If so I absolutely think Rutten would be better and would make a massive difference.

Not only can be coach, but he can teach defending.

Talia credits Rutten with mentoring and teaching him how to position and play as a defender.

Rutten was sacked because he couldn't get Essendon to defend!

I also reckon we have a lack of talent in the back 6, we've got battling kids and almost the almost cooked. Looking at the contenders we are so far off the standard of their defences.
