Trading for him wasn't Rawlings doing, that was a coach move. Even then, he was wanted by the Tigers, we had to trade. If he becomes a player or not that's the risk with any draft pick. And again, Tarrant had nothing to do with it, if we didn't have CCJ we still wouldn't have Tarrant. He left us. We tried to give him what he wanted and he still left us.

I personally hope he improves but he way off anything near what we gave up for him. Time will tell either way.

What a load of garbage if that’s not your proof that the salary cap is being rorted, I don’t what is?

There is no way if the correct player payments are being declared that Tom Hawkins is being paid less than Tanner Bruhn.

I wonder what sly investment Hawkins is receiving off the books?

It’s a pity the AFL don’t Cotton On and put a stop to what is nothing but salary cap rorting.

If they really wanted to they should have a clause in all contracts where players have to disclose all outside investments and payments.

The salary cap as it stands is virtually ineffective as most clubs have found ways to circumvent it.

That is all fair comment.

I do however disagree as giving up pick 21 (should have been 121) for CCJ, and losing our best defender in the same deal, is probably a fair indication why staff were told to * off as horrible trading.

Again, we can agree to disagree, no worries, but for mine it isn't looking good.

We are down a veteran gun defender, gave up a pretty high pick, and have a human statue to show for it.
