Hopefully noble has a good relationship with him from his time at the lions

Could be a good free get, has the flexibility to play either end
Yeah I'll be interested to see if the Noble connection sees us make a play for either of the Brisbane KPDs in Gardiner or McStay. It was only a year ago that we looked light on for KPFs but then picked up CCJ, so we may well have something up our sleeve for KPDs as well.

Personally I wouldn't mind us going easy on the FA front this year. Save our coin and get another year of development in to see what our greatest area of need is and then target the right player for the right position at the end of 2023. But chances are that KPD is going to be that greatest area of need, so targeting a FA KPD this year if there's one available is probably a wise move as there might not be any available next year.

Its a bit more of a long bow than the Brisbane guys, but I wonder if there's any old Tassie connections between David Noble and Alex Pearce.

Will need to see how the year pans out, but this year could be a good year to look at trading our future 1st pick. A few on here were keen on this last year, but that would've been a year early IMO.

But I think we will start to see a more significant rise up the ladder in 2023, so we might be able to bring that pick forward, possibly bring in two top 10 picks this year to come through with the rest of our recent draftees, then end of 2023 look at free agents and drafting for positional needs.

Say that to the people lining up for a third crack at the all you can eat buffet. It's free and we gonna get ourselves some of that. Well I assume.

Wonderdog let me be the first to say how much I’ve enjoyed and appreciated your own personal observations and analysis of the 2022 playing list.

Exactly the kind of thing footy starved BF nuffies enjoy in a quiet off-season.
Great effort.
Thanks Jase. I am a nuffie too. It keeps my mind on the footy.I have one analysis to come:Nobes. I’ll put it up soon.

Don't mind me, I'm just researching the competing claims about the Holden Cruze's build quality.
I have a Holden Cruze. Fortuitous purchase that had zero research; someone I knew was insulted by the trade-in price they were offered just at the time I needed to buy a car, so they sold it to me for the amount the dealer had offered them.

I haven't noticed it having any more or fewer issues than any other car, but jesus ****ing christ I am sick of campaigners telling me how shit they are. You see loads of them on the road too, they can't be THAT bad. Although at least one of those critics is a mechanic, so I guess there's something in it. Maybe I just got lucky.

I think you may be the exception that proves the rule.

It's funny you just made me realise how rare it is to see a car broken down at the side of the road these days. I wouldn't say it was common, but I feel like you saw broken down cars with the bonnet up a hell of a lot more in the 70s, 80s and even 90s than you do these days. Cars being towed with no obvious sign that they were in an accident. Ha ha, I even remember someone towing us to the nearest garage with a tow rope on a family holiday. The tow rope kept breaking because my dad had left the hand brake on.

Nobes

There are 3 areas in which modern coaches must excel: game day- moving the chess pieces, game preparation- relationships, game plan, training & team esprit & media- public face of the club. Nobes seems to do all 3 well. We have a clear game plan, the players seem well prepared & positve & he articulates all this in the media. The honeymoon period is now over but there is no reason why he shouldn’t evolve further.
