Check out Dawson highlights package…I can see a huge upside with that kid, turning 18 next month so another year to get taller, already at 200cm with a good frame to fill out!

Yep I was on his train, when most others were raving about Murphy. I prefer Dawson because he has the potential to be a much stronger build and most importantly he keeps his feet in contests.

Green at Sydney’s first pick is a big bolter but would be a typical Sydney move.

I hope they do take Green but I doubt it will happen and have given the reasons previously. Sydney never give anything away prior to drafts and they are one club Twomey seldom gets right.

That’s exactly what I did.

All I saw was a ruck.. admittedly with good hands.

But he isn’t this swing type of player at senior level.

He is a Genuine ruck.

Actually Green sounds very much like a Sydney pick.

He can move fast, gets around players with blind turns, side steps like Lenny Hayes and a solid user. If anything there are some questions on how his tricks translate to AFL.

Pretty simple middle ground, change the rule so that Northern Academies cannot match a bid before Pick 20.

Means that they still get a leg up but cannot shaft the Draft of 1st Round Picks like this year.

He looks really good.

If someone is going to knock him.

I believe the knock is whether he can make the jump to an inside mid like Walsh at Carlton did.

Twomey has never got a non-academy selection right for Sydney.

they want a slider from that top 11 and haven’t been able to trade up. I believe O’Sullivan and Leake the big 2 targets.

North are also targeting Green and Sydney aren’t Inlove with this draft - evidenced on gettable when they said they have only 12 targets for their pick which projects at 16 when including the untouchable kids.

Trading back - definitely an option. But you are admittedly losing a player who you deem better than the group at 17/18 and then Drafting another 2 kids who you didn’t rate good enough at 12.

Us as an example, Dimattia and Edwards have been linked at 13 to us. Both also sit at the front of the next bunch of kids in that 17/18 area.

Some clubs are going to want to pick and get out of this draft.

We seem like we think there is value throughout and are happy to manoeuvre it.

Thats a big call on Dawson, you are making some big statements on kids playing futures. Is that inside knowledge or your own assessments?

Time will tell with regards to whether Green ends up at Sydney, but SOS made it sound like we are well stocked for rucks. So I doubt even if we had him ranked highly that we would be interested.

Do you mean trade-in an additional pick between 13 and 21, or upgrade pick 21 into the teens?

Tomorrow night will be well worth the watch I reckon, seems like there’s many possibilities out there and many flow-on ramifications as a result. Last year felt so set it was almost predetermined but this could be an intriguing two nights ahead

Pleasing to see all the guys we are linked with in the draft are all gun runners and elite kicks. With Dawson being the exception as a tall swingman with sticky hands. Happy with 3-4 of these guys.
