Tough one to win. History massively favours vic teams......pies know it.....all non-vic teams and their fans know it.

Lions ideally would want a good start but is not the be all end all if it doesn't happen......lions last wk gave blues a 30 pt head start n won comfortably.....eagles from memory in their '18 GF win got jumped by pies by 30+ in the 1st qrtr bfore clawing their way back..

Lions remind me a bit of geelong...perpetual bridesmaid who'd been knocking on the door for sometime waiting for that opportunity....so hopefully their time has come....but yeah it's against a friggin vic opponent (one of the biggest too) on the G....not some underdog/baby-faced interstate opponenent...but as eagles have shown it ...it can be done

Maybe lions beating pies in their final h&a game will be a good omen, just like eagles did in their '18 premiership yr. Pies had some key pieces missing the last game but having done them twice this yr and a 6-0 win streak can't be discounted. Ok so it wasn't quite the G lions beat them at but hey it's still melbourne so i'lll take it
