Impossible to make this predicition, i try and make at least 3 before the first game of 2023. Here is my post GF highly emotional first guess for next year.
1. Geelong
2. Richmond
3. Collingwood
4. Carlton
5. Sydney
6. Brisbane
7. Port Adelaide
8. Melbourne
——————————
9. Fremantle
10. Gold Coast
11. Adelaide
12. Western Bulldogs
13. St.Kilda
14. Essendon
15. GWS
16. Hawthorn
17. West Coast
18. North Melbourne

At this stage i give teams finishing 13-18 no hope of making the 8.
Whats with everyone tipping freo 9th? Are we richmond or Ninthmantle.? lol

Freo are losing players. If Logue gets traded, we are holding Lobb to his contract. Blake Acres has been solid but is replaceable as an outside mid.

I see freo finishing between 5th to 12th depending on injuries, fixtures and close games.

Grand final: Port Adelaide d Richmond

Port Adelaide
Geelong
Richmond
Sydney
Fremantle
Melbourne
Gold Coast
GWS

Brisbane
Western Bulldogs
Carlton
Collingwood
North Melbourne
Hawthorn
Adelaide
St Kilda
West Coast
Essendon

Gold, this from a supporter of a team beaten by the Saints when we were playing terrible. A midfield that consist of Cripps, Walsh and Hewett beaten roundly by the "worst" midfield in the comp.
Also with our Full back going down in the first half and still McKay and Curnow couldn't kick a winning score.
Okay buddy, Saints will finish last next year. (Slow clap)
Someone has to finish last and I’m more than happy to be proven wrong, when my grandfather immigrated from Hungary he supported the Saints. They were the first group of people to make him feel welcome.

It’s not personal, it’s just my opinion. Plenty of people have put Carlton in positions I disagree with but it’s not personal

I like Freo, but we have to wait and see who stays and most importantly who goes? You're right, they should finish anywhere from 5th to 12th.

I honestly did my ladder before I even saw this post lol.

Ninthmantle

1. Brisbane (Ashcroft will have nick daicos effect)
2. Collingwood (can only get better)
3. Geelong (will be great once again unfortunately)
4. Sydney (got some serious finals experience and will be hungry)
5. Melbourne (regress, suck at the G)
6. Richmond (Good signings so think they will stay around this mark, no chance of winning flag with their aging list tho)
7. St. Kilda (were around the mark all year, just got unlucky and had poor umpires)
8. Port Adelaide (% tells me they are still decent, amon a big loss though)
9. Gold Coast (good young side, massive scalps this year and will be better with another year under their belt)
10. Fremantle (losing a lot of players and didnt look great in finals)
11. Essendon (2021 they overperformed, 2022 they underperformed, I think 10th is around their mark)
12. Hawthorn (I think they get better with another year under the young players and coach belt)
13. Bulldogs (they are a bit of a rabble, players want to leave and dont think the culture is like it was in 2016)
14. Carlton (Think they have peaked tbh, finished the season poorly and think 14th is being generous)
15. Adelaide (Need more time)
16. Gws (Bit of a rabble, no chance for improvement)
17. West coast (Need a rebuild)
18. North (Clarko is overrated pending he keeps his job)

1. Melbourne
2. Collingwood
3. Geelong
4. Carlton
5. Richmond
6. Gold Coast
7. Brisbane
8. Fremantle

9. Port Adelaide
10. Sydney
11. WB
12. Hawthorn
13. Adelaide
14. St Kilda
15. Essendon
16. NM
17. WCE
18. GWS

Also this needs to be mentioned....

Part of the Reason why freo had a solid season was injuries... well lack of them. Had guys hit with corona virus, but it was the younger guys and depth players that got hit, so it was a blessing in Disguise.

We had a tough draw, took on your mob in geelong and Demons at the mcg and won both games.

AFL could not of given freo a tougher draw to be honest, unless we had the cats and Magpies twice.

I will quitely back the dockers to get minimum injuries and grind out narrow wins.

Still think freo will sneak in finals with 13 wins and 9 defeats next season

6. Richmond (Good signings so think they will stay around this mark, no chance of winning flag with their aging list tho)
I dont think we will win the flag but you have to laugh at your reasoning given one of the oldest GF teams in history just won the flag only hours ago.

I think it might have been the single oldest team in V/AFL history.

I think traditional perceptions of what is too old are slowly phasing out with how sports science is going.

I was about to say the same thing. Age doesn’t seem to be such a big issue anymore (to a certain extent).

Also I feel like a lot of people are underestimating our youth coming through.

How are people tipping Melbourne to win, coach and forward strategy an absolute dog’s breakfast.
I feel that despite everything that happened in the second half of this season, Melbourne still has the best top end talent. A decent trade and draft period and a good pre season should see them challenge again.

1- Melbourne (rebound from straight sets- probs premiers)
2- Richmond
3- Carlton
4- Gold Coast (finally)
5- Fremantle
6- GWS
7- Essendon
8- St kilda

9- Port Adelaide (Hinkley sacked in round 14)
10- Collingwood
11- Sydney
12- Geelong (big call but who knows)
13- West Coast
14- Brisbane
15- Adelaide (Nicks sacked round 18)
16- North Melbourne
17- Western Bulldogs (mainly injuries, poor form)
18- Hawthorn

You've got Collingwood twice and left out the Saints

Miracle season by the Pies finishing 8th and 10th.

Pies twice?

Dogs 17th is bold. WC above Brisbane is borderline lunacy.

Are the Collingwood Magpies or Collingwood Saints making the 8

Not even the worst thing about this prediction, yikes

Collingwood 10th, st kilda 8th my mistake

Football changes every year. If you do your predictions and base them off this year you’re gunna look silly in the end. Look at this year, no one would had Collingwood top 4, Fremantle 5th, Bulldogs 8th, port missing.

Much funnier ranking now. By funny, I mean unbelievable
