Have a squiz at their board..they (their supporters) are quite happy to let certain players leave to ensure they have the capital to get pickett end of this year. And based on past trade periods, port having little draft collateral now means not much as they have shown they will leave no stone unturned to seal a deal if they really like a player

rankine and Rachele tag team between mid and forward..

pickett permenantly forward.

but watching Pickett play I see no reason why he couldn’t also transition to spent time in the midfield.

I see Rankine, Pickett and S. Bolton as three very similar players and some of the most exciting players in the comp.. if Bolton and Rankine can add midfield strings to their bows.. why can’t Pickett?

if your club has a chance to bring in a player of the calibre of Kossi Pickett and you say “nah, it’s all good we’re full”… then your club should have its license taken away.

imagine having a forward line with your two smalls as Rankine and Pickett.. opposition coaches wouldn’t be able to sleep in the week leading up to the game..

Eg Straughan , Cook , Newchurch

At least we got Worrell right , he should have played alot more

I don'think anyone overates the potential of both Cook and Newchurch, Cook especially. What most are disappointed in is their failure this far to bring it consistently....and for mine that's more on the individuals themselves than any other factors because I'd be very surprised if we're not putting plenty of extra work into them to realise their full potential.
Do they want an AFL career bad enough?

Cook might have some excuses because the word was he had some lasting health issues from COVID but geezus they both need to attack the contest harder and on a way more consistent basis.

I do that hike regularly with my dogs it's a decent hike with nice views.
But yeah I wouldn't live anywhere near that area, anywhere between North Geelong and Werribee basically resembles a WW1 no mans land.

Same thing was said of Fogarty too early … but not sure where Newchurch fits in the scheme of things.

If he is an impact player, then the ‘involved for longer’ stuff is less relevant.

I live near Ballarat and I'll pass on the drive down etc there thanks, I often pass through the Corio district when I visit an old mate that is a long time Geelong Falcons worker....I usually plant the foot while traversing the Corio area...

And that means, players like Dawson will not be part of any premiership

If we don't ever trade (or in Doedee's case, let walk) players in positions where we have depth, we'll never improve.

We don't have players yet, that would command much at the trade table ......it's hard, as we develop a finals side, those current 25-27 YO's are very valuable, experience & leadership

I'd still trade ROB ....Clubs have shown it isn't hard to pickup a Ruckman ...won't happen though

We should be trading in, not out, those that have any sort of draft capital

Problem is we overpay for overlong and we end up with a Sloane type of situation with the added knowledge that Tom has had previous injuries

I want Doedee to stay but if he wants to go then get maximum value
