You have proof of 1, but not the other! He sucks at it. Himmelberg would be far worse
In defence.Unfortunately I have seen quite a bit of Himmelberg at AFL level

Our coaches do. Repeatedly.Yeah, I'm sure you think playing Doedee on a 2m forward is a better option...
Yeah, that's worked a treat... not!Our coaches do. Repeatedly.
Correct. But it's not reasonable to suggest Himmelberg as a KPD when he's literally never been used there.Yeah, that's worked a treat... not!
ROB seems like quite an okay intercept mark. I'd rather he plays defense and Himmelberg in the ruck than the other way around if that's the only optionCorrect. But it's not reasonable to suggest Himmelberg as a KPD when he's literally never been used there.
Surely ROB is a better option if that's what we are going to do.
Based on what I've seen of him, he would be bad in defense
He's played defence as a junior as did ROB.Correct. But it's not reasonable to suggest Himmelberg as a KPD when he's literally never been used there.
Surely ROB is a better option if that's what we are going to do.
I would’ve too.. if Jack was 5cm taller.. at 190cm he’s just a bit short for an AFL KPD..I would have gone Jack Heard but I'm biased towards Norwood players.
He's played plenty of defence at U18's/junior level...no different to ROB who played some defence for the Calder Cannons as a 19 year old when then teammate Jake Lever went down with his AC, prior to that ROB he shared ruck duties with Mark Kovacevic.Correct. But it's not reasonable to suggest Himmelberg as a KPD when he's literally never been used there.
Surely ROB is a better option if that's what we are going to do.
This would be one time that playing and living in Adelaide is a bonus, rather than playing and living in Melbourne.I suggest the Crows allow MK to have a part-time/honorary role with the Hurling And Gaelic Football Association Of South Australia to ameliorate his homesickness that he was prone to at Collingwood (even though Covid exacerbated that).
So first round picks are over rated. Seems you can afford to have busts, we've had plenty.
Is it saying we're not doing so bad after all?
Makes good sense swapping a 1st round for each of Dawson & Rankine... particularly when we avoid using out own...So first round picks are over rated. Seems you can afford to have busts, we've had plenty.

For every Fischer McAsey there's a Ben Rutten, Rory Sloane & Rory Laird etcSo first round picks are over rated. Seems you can afford to have busts, we've had plenty.

I know right. I can't believe we missed out on James Hird. And a Rozee and Butters
Was going to post the same. Ridiculous statWell of course. Pretty unlikely for a player to win a B&F or AA within the first few years of their career, which the latter half of this decade includes
It's safe to say the best 18 players in any year will change from one year to the next, picking the best at 18 years will never be definitive. So first round picks are over rated. Seems you can afford to have busts, we've had plenty.

Sure you can. You probably can't repeatedly do it though. So first round picks are over rated. Seems you can afford to have busts, we've had plenty.
