Sam McClure saying that he thinks Geelong still have Darcy interest so is a watch for the trade period.
I'm ok with this. Take 7 and a future 1st and make a play for Clarry with those picks.

It's legit what I want in any Darcy trade scenario, take those picks and get a star player.

I'm not willing to trade Darcy for someone who could open a shop selling red flags and instantly have a monopoly.

Idk but you have to imagine it would be something pretty bad for Melbourne to dump him before his seven year extension has even started.
Could be anything really... maybe his team mates just think he's a bit of a dickhead and wouldn't mind seeing him leave. Maybe he is some sort of junkie. Maybe Melbourne wouldn't mind freeing up some cap space. Maybe it's somewhere in between.

Somebody of that talent... I would absolutely take that punt everyday of the week.

Combination of substance abuse and lack of professionalism seem to be the main things. Wouldn't last a day in purple no matter how good he is.

Dunno

Doesn't appear to have affected his on-field performance though
I dunno, how often do you self-tattoo your feet in unsterile envrionments causing you to miss a chunk of games in a year where your team is pushing for a flag and you're a top tier player? Nose beers might have had something to do with that awsome decision.

That true? I don't have a defence to that. That is some dumbshit if true.

Would still take him on, you think this guy would do something like that ever again? No way.

Not voluntarily no. But I highly doubt his cutting off the nose beers anytime soon, and who knows what other s**t he could get up to under the influence
Besides Perth is a meth capital, there's not much to attract him here.

Man, Oliver, assuming not Hogan level ****ed will be incredible for Crows, exactly what they need as well with how poor their midfield is on paper.

Skies the limit for them next year.

I really don’t see how Melbourne get pick 1 through all this though, I’d have though WC need a top 5 pick (after bids / FA etc) pick. Will be interesting.
Crows forward line is heavily Tex dependent. He has to be on his last legs.

I think Melbourne invested too much into their midfield stars at the expense of a genuine star key forward, which would be okay if their very average kicking midfield had average key forwards to take a contested mark ahead. They can make it work but they can't buy a mark.

Maybe of Viney, Petracca, Oliver, Brayshaw they see Oliver as the most marketable and most replaceable.

I wouldn't expect Fremantle to ask about Angus this off season, or any more.

They had Macdonald and Ben Brown. They’ve both plummeted in form.

Petty looked pretty amazing if he goes forward again, and JVR goes ok. They aren’t completely absent in tall talent. They have probably the best medium forward in the game too.
