I don’t get why the Saints would do this deal

They could instead let Gresham go for market rate which would probably get them an end of second round pick which they can then send to * for Shiels while also getting * to pay some of Shiels salary

Instead * gets a first round pick, gets rid off a 31 year old Shiel who underperforms and is overpaid, and they get Gresham who will be best 22 for them

Doubt the Suns would want any of them unfortunately.

If Zac Bailey or the equal played for Carlton I would be fully expecting us to win the premiership next season. Obviously we don’t have that player so I imagine someone like Hollands, although a long shot of making it, would be an attractive target.
Outside of him, I struggle to see the players available who are actually going to improve us or worth chasing.
I think our improvement will come from structural/game plan adjustments

Similar to both Collingwood & Brisbane last year, we have got to keep adding to our list identifying another couple of players to add would seem quite important via trading & draft.

He only played 9 games for Melbourne this year, rather keep building the list with longer term players same with Crozier, we have been down this path in the past with little success.

As strange as it seems that we’re going to lose someone with speed (Dow) we need someone with speed Harmes is too much like what we have.
