I really like the addition of O'Keeffe. At this stage I'd be happy to wait for MSD and see what is needed then. At this stage, I reckon HBF is covered. However, if Cincotta is added now, can see the reasoning...
It was an odd pick at the time as he wasn't really rated in the range we took him by most. I never personally saw him making it as he is just about the most fumbley player I have ever seen. Still hope he gets over his injuries though so he gets a fair crack.

Coleman was an academy selection, although it would have been super early on him, so who knows if they would have matched. I thought Warner was too, but it turns out that he was in the open pool. Jones… meh. Has barely had a better career than Philip at this point.
The miss in that draft is definitely SDK with our first pick, although it would have likely meant we lost out on kemp who could still be the better player long term.

Why wait till mid year - we're a serious contender now.
The timing of moving Philpy to the inactive list suggests to me we are adding in SSP.

I never saw him rated higher than 24 iirc and I think that was by Knightmare. Don't think Twomey or any other phantoms I read back in 2019 he was in the top 30. I could be wrong though. I too thought he was drafted higher than he would go but was happy we took him at the time

From memory, Sheahan had him in his top 30.
I’d take that any day over amateur talent watchers who only have a fraction of the info available to them.

O'Keeffe is a great pick up, gives us a young competitive, athletic ruck with a year in the system...
Covers if TDK decides to leave or if Mirkov doesn't make it...
O'Keeffe and Lemmey could be a dynamic rotating Ruck & Forward combo, when they put on some size...
A lot of teams have 4x Rucks on their list...

I have a hunch that SOS was just keen to use another first round pick so he could attack free agency in future years without being restricted. I think he rated Kemp next best after Young, Stephens, Serong so being able to downgrade and grab him anyway plus get an additional pick was a bonus.
Future draft forecast atm, is looking like we’re going to have to recruit particularly a bit more more speed and class onto the list, midfield and flanks need an injection for the future…
Most of our current players that possess natural speed are repeatedly braking down and on the sidelines injured, or on and off for large chunks during the season…
Hoping by the end of the year that changes for them throughout the season…

Most phantom drafts aren't worth taking note of for anything other than the player profiles.
Shoot away now. Players dropping with injuries since pre-Xmas break is catalyst enough for a likely MSD opening when the time comes (or countered with us to be fortunate enough to have a healthy list).
Be hoping for a late pick in the MSD anyway.
