If TDK does leave, I would target UFA Flynn

We don't know what our ruck situation is next year.As in $$$$ amount?
I don’t see Pitto being very sought after by other clubs, so even if the $$$ are low, it still seems unnecessary to me. Fish currently has a 4 year deal and now isn’t best 22, it’s a big risk for someone like Pitto and I see ruckman regularly available for not much outlay.

Analysing the trade value of West Coast's veterans
West Coast is about to enter a steep rebuild and will need all the draft capital they can get their hands on.www.sen.com.au
Laughable the 100's of post preaching for Dow. He has few Afl qualities. In tennis terms we are using a players ITF tournament form as a basis for inclusion on the ATP. He is not better than Hewett. If posters want to be constructive, call for the selection of Carrol who has more AFL qualities. The club would benefit from knowing whether jack is up to the level rather than cry for Dow who has had 66 games to proove himself
Pitto is probably on 300 to 350k. He will be on our list as a number 1 or back up for at least the next 3 years. 4 years is not outrageousPitto averages 7 games a season across his career and just over 10 games a year whilst at the Blues, to lock in a player like that for 4 years imo is irresponsible, a players form can change pretty quick and A player like Pitto doesn’t have to drop much form to become a liability.

Carrol was selectable for most of this year. Put your effort in finding out whether players who have have played less than 10 games are worthwhile rather than Dow who has played 66 games and has virtually no AFL traitsCarroll is injured. Why would anyone call for his selection in the senior team?

contract status means jack if the parties want to deal....What a pointless analysis, no mention of contract status at all.
Dow has barely played 1s for 2 years and wasn't getting 40 possessions regularly before then.Carrol was selectable for most of this year. My point is Dow is white noise in the context of the football club. Dow is a manifestation of why Carlton is poorly performed If you want your forum full of white noise, be my guest but if you want it to be a constructive force for improvement I suggest discussing players like Carrol, Kemp and Binns. Why would it be constructive for anyone to call for his selection this week over Dow's?
At least Dow is available for selection.
Sorry Mate Dow played 2 games last year and was garbage. Think about it 66 opportunities to show everyone he can run both ways, tackle and kick.Dow has barely played 1s for 2 years and wasn't getting 40 possessions regularly before then.

Would be in the team tonight if he was on the list IMO.I only saw him play last week for the first time, but would we give ronke a go? Looks fairly elusive through the middle pushing forward?
No.Of course it does, the value of players changes depending on contract status.
Gaff is on about $900,000, Gov is on about $1M, Nic Nat by all reports is on big money.
The size of the players contracts makes them a lot less appealing and any picks WC would get would be a lot lower.
Cornes also suggests to get rid of Gov because he never plays, then says he should get a second rounder.
Gov is on $1M per year, his trade value is a lot lower than a second rounder because of his huge salary.
Might as well play Dow, we are getting 2 bits of f all at the moment for him, finals are done, we are completely cooked mentally.
May as well play Dow and see what happens, surely these paddle pop coaches aren’t that stubborn
