Position 2023 Midfielders

I think the risk is much higher than the payoff for Jelly. If he goes off, sure you've got a POD but he's already super premo priced anyway. Is he going to outscore the likes of Cripps, Parish, Steel, Trac, Brayshaw or Walsh? Maybe, But he's also the most likely of those to get injured or moved to HFF/Wing.

Anyone picking any round 15 bye players to specifically trade them out?
eg Libba, Tommy The Tank Top, UDL

On the flip side, 2 of those games without Taranto he played North and Eagles for 125 & 111. Is that Taranto or is that s**t team factor?

GWS averaged 1643 SC a game for the year - but the games they played without TT they averaged 1771 as a team, and with him they averaged 1594.

Lots more to look into!

(Not saying do or don’t pick him, just not sure you can isolate stats and claim great meaning necessarily - teams played etc comes into it too)
Kane Turner tagged the poop out of Jelly that day for 111. I was furious, had him as skipper. Imagine what he would of scored had he of been free to roam 😀

Can Trac finally take the next step and go 120+?

Trac over Oliver helps improve my team a lot.
Trac supposed to be playing more forward. Melbourne talking about more midfield rotation. Is it bollocks? Maybe.

When you hear stuff like this about Oliver or MacRae you laugh and move on, they can only play 1 position. But with Trac it's possible it may have substance as he can be effective up fwd similar to Danger / Dusty / Bont. There's not really a lot of upside in the pick.

how many midfield premos should we have?
currently i have 3
Depends whether you count the Green / Mitchell types as premos, which you should be expecting at their price.

Not sure there's a right or wrong answer as every team structure is different. If you only have 3 it means less upgrading on other lines, but also depends on how much it costs you to upgrade. It's prob going to be cheaper to upgrade from Worpel > Premo then Rookie > Premo.

But ballpark for an average team prob around 4 maybe 5

His scoring could feasibly improve if he kicks straight, but as he's going to spend more time forward, I wouldn't start with him. Get him at F1/2 after Round 6.

If you desperately need a premo mid in that price range, I'd probably go with Brayshaw instead.

This is great ....pick up Trac as a FWD / MID DPP in Round 5 ....can't wait

Really reconsidering starting Touk Touk. Anyone else in the same boat?
Yes ...."thinking" of dropping Laird back down to Touk Touk ....the savings helps my Rookie selections

Similar but considering Oliver to Touk. Means I can afford Phillips at M9.
We know Touk is a top 8 player at years end ....it comes back to who my Capt will be

If I could go Macrae up to Touk I would but just don’t have the cash unless some shock rookies appear.
Macrea is IMO a lock & great value .....I'm expecting opposition Clubs to put the clamps on Bont ....opening the door for Macca

Smith was my first picked in AFL Fantasy ....but for SC his disposal really impacts his averages

The only other player besides Bont that teams have tried to sit on is Libba, as he is still so important to us.

Macrae is just so consistent.

Libba is critical to your season, as an inside MID, now Dunkley has left

Libba will be the tag target, it's worked in the past. He can't out run them like Macrae, or just go forward like Bont.

I see Macrae as a 100-120 type scorer. Consistent as f**k but won't be a legitimate Captain option like Bont will when he inevitably has a game where he kicks 3 and has 30 and gives you a 160.

Depends on what you're after really.
