Have to admit I thought Danny Boy was a complete nut job when he first took over but he's done some job so far.

Everything just clicked from week 3 or 4 last year. I remember watching that Thankgiving game vs the Bears two years ago and thinking there is no way he'd make it. He and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn looked completely out of their depth, mismanaging the clock and not knowing the rules , calling b2b timeouts.

That reminds me of Pederson a bit as he was awful his first year with some of the basics. You wouldn't think there'd be learning on the job with that sort of stuff but apparently there is for a lot of these guys.

Main issue is working full time and not having the chance to post much since finishing uni a few years ago
Have you thought about a second job? Boom-kish!

I agree with the rump. If it was so easy every team would be doing it, but they cant. Instead of crying work out a way to stop it.
Problem is that once you are in the situation as a defense where the tush push is viable there aren't many things you can do to stop it.

Rules like the one that bans defensive players from jumping over the OL/DL means that its very hard to actually get to the QB or the people pushing him if your DL doesn't get some significant penetration in the same gap the QB has decided to dive into

If it was that easy everyone would be doing it as I said before. See teams trying to do their version get stopped all the time. Just seems like whinging to me.

The Lions have got a lot of winnable games coming up too,
vs Carolina
@Tampa Bay
@ Baltimore
vs Las Vegas
@Chargers
vs Chicago
vs Green Bay
@New Orleans
@ Chicago
vs Denver
@ Minnesota
@ Dallas
vs Minnesota

Could easily win 9 or 10 there. Playoffs should be a lock.

That is a creampuff schedule they should be eyeing the #1 seed.

Speaking of Lions....the Brisbane variety got ripped off by that end of game play on call. Wouldve sent the ball inside 50, mark to Danniher possibly, or a crumbed goal from a small forward, and held on to win with 1 min left.

So many things went Collingwood's way tho, bounce of the ball type stuff, ricochets etc.

We smashed the Lions at home last year. They should have been embarrassed and very keen on some revenge.

I think the Pies were the better team on the day, probably should have won by more, but yes, that advantage call was disgusting. Lions with a chance to win it from there if Neale was allowed to take his kick.

Cardinals have been a surprise packet so far by the way. Many picked them to be bottom feeders, but theyll end up plus-500. They dont even have a QB and have had Dobbs come in very late, after preseason ended i think, and hes played well above himself.

but theyll end up plus-500..

Na, ive seen it all before. The lack of talent eventually wears a team down. The Bears were 3-5 last year (with a win against the Niners) and lost their last nine and haven't won a game since.

You're probably right, but this Gannon-culture Cardinals seem more composed, confident and adept than the poser Cardinals under Kingsbury.

Hoyer will probably get the gig first? Might have to wait for second half to see O'Connell

Josh McDaniels sucks so much. As if Hoyer gives you a better chance to win than a rookie. Just play the kid.

Mark Davis more interested in the name status than actual good coaches.

100% they were, but there's still a couple of IFs in there, so it is what it is.

If the Lions want to blame anyone, unfortunately its Fages and the coaches. Surprisingly, the chip-chip-chip-bomb to a 2 on 1 contest didn't work, and they should've gone to plan B at quarter time.

That being said, I don't think there was a Plan B.
